Thanks sister i am Ayub khan from India i have advanced alexa device but I have tried to make it read quran but it was failure all time. Now I have done it with your guidance my mom is happy listening quran at this fasting period.
like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, ru-vid.comUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....

A good way in the UK is to set up alexa routines 10 minutes before prayer times and add East london mosque radio. This way you get the live azaan for each prayer.
As Sallam MaliyAlikum brother, I got one of these Echo Dots yesterday. I wanted to know step by step how to set this up so it play Azan from East London Masjid. I've tried it but doesn't seem to work. I live in London..
Great video, I've been looking into this recently as well, before getting my first Alexa product (and there really isnt too much information out there at the moment). Jzk.
There are plenty of ways and videos. Please search on RU-vid. Essentially you enable a skill such as Prayer Times and then add a routine. I just did that and Alexa dies azan 5 times a day
I am using 5 routines to play azan sound but using sun rise and set times , Fajr 1:30 hours before sunrise , Maghreb: 2 mins after sunset and Ishaa 2 hours after sunset. For Duhr and Asr I have to use fixed times and change them every few weeks its a rough calculations but still better than nothing
@ahmed4052 Salaam, no problem brother I managed to do it in the end was quite tricky, had to include a lot of "wait" functions. And I managed to automate zhuhr and asar too... so I set zhuhr as 6hrs 20mins after sunrise and asar as 10hrs 30mins after sunrise (hanafi) for other schools of thought set the number hours less as per calendar. Hope that helps you! Jzk for you help too!
Assalamualaikum, your video was very informative!! However when I open the holy Quran app, it plays the Quran in English, not Arabic. How can I change this? Jzk😊
I have connected by local main mosque by radio FM but the issue is it doesn’t automatically play Azan I scheduled every prayer for earliest it in year so it automatically comes on at that and remains silent until mosque start using the microphone but I have to make sure it’s playing Radio sometimes it’s difficult to know if it’s still playing due to silence of the radio station when it’s not prayer time
Hey sister. I just discovered your channel! I’m actually fully blind. And, for us Muslim pro, has gone downhill as far as accessibility is concerned, I was wondering if you knew any skill that would actually announced the adhan. :) Originally from Pakistan. If you know anything please do let me know. And also your channel seems very informative I would love to be friends with you if that’s OK I lost my sister at the age of eight. And would love to do videos with you and stuff. Take care of yourself and stay blessed. Salamalaykum
toooooooooool, playiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing, deaaaaaal, awesoooooooome.....googlinnnnnng......paussssssssssssssee..........learnnnnnnnnnnnn.......I hope you know what I am trying to say. Rest is all good....Thanks....
Good and amazing things we can have with these devices, we just need to use it in a moderate way cause Alexa or any other robotics inventions were not instructed by Ulama (Islamic reliefs when it comes to explain or to get more details about the religion) before trusting and using those inventions they must be controlled by Islamic Ulama. This is my point of view so using those stuffs is good but be sure to get the right information and the right things from it. Many may use those devices as a reference which is the wrong way since not verified or tested by the Ulama (Those we learn from and ask for details after reading the references in Curan and Sunah) Please be aware and get the right information from the source.
Brother Aziz. Assalam Alaikum. I respectfully disagree your opinion and don't buy your suggestion. Sister Muska presented a device (Alexa) which gets the data from a reliable scientific source, and this is an invention of modern engineering. You are simply trying to mislead by the name of 'Ulama', which I think very orthodox and harmful views for the new generations. This generation born and living with Facebook, Tweeter, Alexa, Netflix you name it. Nothing wrong! I remember when I was a kid, one of my orthodox neighbours didn't attend prayers in my city's central mosque. His justification was, that mosque uses megaphone for Adhan, which he believed the Adhan coming thru a megaphone is the voice of Iblis (Satan). His orthodox mindset was so much rusty, he used to justify Belal (RA:) didn't use megaphone in his Adhan that is why any electrical device to use Adhan should be forbidden.
