my theory is : The reason why its called ‘Demented Dream Island’ Is because it is Catalizts dream and he cant really seem to remember what the monsters looked like so he tried to picture them from what he thinks and he knows what he looks like so hes normal apart from the others.

Furcorn being not just a corrupted version of itself but a whole hew monster (who is also a placeholder for other monsters & causes a jumpscare and a crash if muted) has some very deep implications.

I like to think this is some kind of unfinished island that a few unfortunate monsters got trapped on. The longer they stay there the less they resemble themselves. Voidcorn being there the longest, and Catilizt being there the shortest.
