Man this is gonna be an amazing place to see once it’s all done and filled with water you need to come back to this job site and give us an update once the Lake is full
Well if in winter it may work then he can use the D6 , the days will be cooler and that machine is a stump eating monster, I watched him stump a field then turn around and push the stumps into piles three at a time, then he grabbed a stump pushed it to the rather large pile and without missing a beat grabbed the pile and pushed it to another one. He did this several times and had a brush pile about 75 feet around and 35 feet tall, it was a site to behold. So winter is the best time in the south to stump with an open canopy.
This Geoff Bealy project has been one of my top favorites! I look forward to watching the pond grow on his channel. What a great job you have done ! It is going to be a real beauty!
Not worried about missing the pizza party . Just wished I could had been working . But hopefully there will be other projects to help on in the future. And that pond dam looked like it was pretty much packed pretty good .
The pizza party would have been nice but watching Todd driving would have been better right Todd. Hey Chris you must have a job coming up soon for Todd the Haul Man 😆 . I know you'll have something coming up I'm just having some fun with you guys. Be careful and be safe God bless all of you Thank you 😊
@@ryanhoward1013 hey thanks. Yes he does have some stuff coming up . I hope he gives me a text to help out some more . I enjoy running equipment. Even though I am retired
It's an absolute pleasure and honour to watch LetsDig18 transform a piece of land into at pond. Thanks for the opportunity. Great to see John from Upstate Brush Control another hard working business owner.
Chris worked me hard today. Uploading my video now. Will be a couple of hours. Thank you to everyone that has followed along and to @letsdig18 for letting me get the behind the scenes shots. Have a Bealy Good Day!!
That concrete truck was probably leaving some pretty deep ruts when it first pulled out onto the dam. Even compacted dirt will compress under the weight concentrated on the truck tire footprint.
Around here* the customer "must" sign a liability release form before the concrete truck driver/operator goes "off road" - driveways, yards, fields, etc - according to company policy and/or driver discretion. That puts the liability for any damage to the property, anything on it (trees, culverts, drain tile, basement/foundation/walls, ruts, etc) and the truck (tires, recovery/winching, and ???) on the customer/contractor/owner. Discretion and "common sense" comes into play to some degree or another; I don't know if its a reminder of- or in addition to- the "fine print" on the bill of lading/agreement. It isn't unheard of for the contractor AND the homeowner to sign it if/when specific things are brought to their attention; commercial, government, industrial, and roadway obviously don't have a "homeowner" and things are more universally understood. Iirc the 9-10 yard trucks weigh approx 100,000 pounds when full and can do considerably more damage than what was at first thought possible or probable. * ("here" = SE WI, 50-ish mile radius from Milwaukee)
Another interesting and productive day, reassuring for Chris to see someone else using his equipment hard but with smooth efficiency, especially the D6, as he himself would do.
I could hear John say, damn boy you are working live with Letsdig 18. Pinch yip it’s true there is the master pond builder Chris. What a pleasure and honour that must have been!!
What a fun surprise to see someone else I follow show up on the big pond job…y’all looked almost choreographed working so smoothly together. Great day of moving dirt and now I see where that island’s headed. 👍
Another hard day, Chris. It was so nice to see Jon there helping you out. It's too bad that he didn't bring Josh, Willie and Micah with him. The pond would have been finished today! LOL Those three young men sure work their butts off...and so does Jon, and YOU!!! There is still quite a bit to do yet, but the end is finally in sight, unless Mr. Bealy Good makes you build another island.
I've been watching this build since the first root you pulled, this is going to be one hell of a lake, can't even guess at what the cost is, but as we say in Italy, it's a sack of soldi. Can't wait to see the finished thing, when it's full it's going to be one hell of a drone film!
Chris, I am always amazed at the community of RU-vidrs that have come together around you. From auctions to visitors, you have amassed quite a circle of friends and like-minded RU-vid buddies. Good guys whose idea of a vacation is to go travel to do work with a friend.
I love when you comment on the "pretty rocky soil". Swing up to New England, you can see rocky soil. Pulling our stones the size of your dozer. Can't wait to see that place full.
This is an amazing project: Someone with a vision and the resources to make it happen finds someone who is an artist to make it happen. From a field once cleared and then abandoned, to open ground, to a small lake designed for multiple uses, which will be scenic as well. The cost must be staggering, the end result remains to be seen, but my money is on a very good outcome. Thank you for taking the time to edit these videos, prior to sharing them with us!
Tremendous project, details coming to fruition. So fun 2day to c all equipment running, I'm sure a blessing to u! Pls be careful, and may God bless you!!!
It’s almost time to shed tears. The excitement has been so huge for months now; however, there is an ominous light at the end of the tunnel. Completion time.
Water lilies in baskets would be nice on the shelf of pea gravel. They are planted in the baskets and just placed in the water. All sorts of nice could be around it for habitat and shade.
That little compactor is proving to be as handy as a pocket on a shirt. Been looking for one... but everybody is pretty damn proud of what they got right now. Next year this time I'll trade a pack of hotdogs for one at the rate things are going, 600 bucks today for 2 sticks of 15" culvert. 9 months ago at the same supplier they were 164 ea. "LET'S GO BRANDON!" Nice work on the pond !👍🏼
I find it very encouraging to see other you tubers support one another's channel. Great venue to showcase talent, cooperation, and comraderie between each other. Who could have imagined such a win win arrangement of followers finding and supporting like minded content? Thank you both for sharing! 👍👍👍
They are talking about trout to feed the trophy bass in that "pond" at certain times of year. Gonna be a lot more than sunfish. Bealy already had the professional trophy bass designers out.
The bluegills are for the bass to feast on. No doubt Geoff and family will catch some too, but he's trying to create a trophy bass pond and you need large bait populations to produce really large bass.
We’re in the home stretch now!! Collar is poured. Cool to see John from Upstate come for a visit. You want to do cool things on a site, show up to one of Chris’s projects!!
still think its amazing you lucked out finding the D6!!! brings back so many memories riding on the D8K with my grandpa when we were younger. the best was when my dad designed a road (he was a USFS road designer for the Rouge River NF) my grandpa built the road and we as kids played on the road.
Hi John... I follow your channel too. Good of you to drop by and help Chris out. Good help is always welcome. He goes from the seat of the D6 to a shovel.
The Pea Gravel and Rock Pile material, believe it or not is going to make the difference to make that Lake/Pond a Big Bass growing machine. It is all about forage. The forage fish have to have a place to hide, eat, grow and spawn. Wash, Rinse, Repeat a couple of times and you have a forage base that will last. Introduce Bass too early and the forage does not have time to grow big enough to not be eaten. You and Geoff have got it GOING ON!!! Chris, the Bealy Good Project is awesome!! You are doing one heck of a job!! WOW.
Nice to get some help when you need it. I noticed you couldn't stay off the D6 today!🤣Filling in the dam is so exciting (on this end) and look forward to all those final touches you do. Drone recovery surcharge had me laughing. This has to be fun for you, Geoff. Seeing your dream come alive. Thanks, Chris for bringing us along for the ride.
Looks good. I think they should put it some form of pier to tie up a boat to now before there is water around the island. It is going to be a nice pond for sure. jack
I never realized it before. But you can really hear the hydraulic oil flow back and forth in the lines when you have camera on top of mini like you did while tolling around the pipe
Nice one bro that island is looking more like a feature than a flat top pile of dirt. Good to have a friend drop by who knows how to run your toys too. Safe travels
My husband and myself are wanting to know and hoping that when the 5 acre pond is filled with water, that you will show us a video when it's done and full.
Not only did we see another GREAT VIDEO, but we got to meet another friend of Yours. It's amazing how you always have the people on your videos, who actually know what they are doing.
Thanks for another fun video Chris. I was surprised you didn't task Up state John with running the pad foot compacter as he was really good on everything else. Perhaps if he's still there tomorrow, you could put him to work on your rock truck and see if he backs it off the side of the dam. :) To my fellow viewers, do you think we should add "Super hero" to the long list of "Let's digs" accomplishments? I mean how many people would jump into a pit of drying concrete to save a drone in distress!
So happy another Bealy pond Chis at work vid popped up this fine Saturday. It looks like Chris is finally closing in one the finishing touchs then loading up his equipment on to the next job. Goona be a little sad when it's done and no more vids. Rats, no belly flops from the island. Not with shallow water and pea rick under that. Ooh well, just gonna have put up a double A fram with a cross bar and a rope swing on that by the shore where the water off shore is deep enough.
Great to see John doing a colab with Chris. Two of my favourites in one vid... what's not to like 👍. Got a lot done in this one so goes to show what a great team these two legends make. Respect 🤙
Never fails…the client always has add-ons at the end. I’m sure you had a contingency plan ready, considering who the client is…lol! This has been an epic build, and so much work. You’re likely looking forward to when this awesome project is finally in the books. Thanks for sharing Chris!
Chris it's going to be beautiful once all done and filled with water wonder how long it's going to take to fill in I'm guessing a good while another dam good job just about in the books
smart move on the addition to the island. has any one talked about make a bog section for natural filtration at the head section. a section that could be clean out easy to avoid heavy silt build up in the pond? maybe 20 ft x 30 at the head section 2 ft about pond elevation with rip rap stone to flow over. 4 to 5 ft deep with natural plants . air raters can be added.
Can't wait for the drone footage of finished job!!! Chris... I enjoy the passion you have for every pond.. construction job you do... It's always a joy to see your next newest adventure... Keep up the awesome work!!!
Hi John from upstate Busch control. Yeah he's a good guy. I watch his videos all the time. You got three different people making videos on this job site. That's all right and I really don't think the owners worried about the price of stone because you going to put a lot down there. Somebody's got deep pockets. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦
Chris, The pond is looking outstanding!! What king of fuel consumption have you experienced during this whole project. I would imagine it has to be a huge amount. Been wondering what kind of oil and fuel does the older equipment go through! keep up the great work...
Another great video Chris.. I'm hoping that we can have an update in a year or so, just to see how it looks when the smoke clears. Fine job and your initial explanation of what was going to happen is coming true. Thank you so much for sharing... Almost forgot, LOVE the sound of that D6 under pressure. Just love that old equipment sounds...
Knew Chris would be on the D6 before the end of the video once He showed John on it. Bet he asked John if he wanted to run the 220 just so he could play on the D6, lol.
Good to see You and John working together. Now we need Mike and Devin to show up. The pond is really starting to take shape. Keep the videos coming. God Bless and Good Health.
At the end of the video with your walk around, having your truck there really gives everything scale. It really shows how big of a project this pond and its surrounding area truly is!
Hi Chris What can I say or add that someone hasn't said already. You are doing a great job! It was fun seeing John there. Hopefully you both had a good time. Ed from Chicago 🙂
Between you and DP, Upstate Brush Control may be getting into the pond business! Geoff, I don't think OSHA would approve of _most_ of Chris's job sites 😂😂
The pond is really shaping up. It was great that John from Upstate Brush Control is getting to work with you. Between you and Dirt Perfect John is getting a good pond building education.
5 acre pond is pretty good size and will take an unbelievable amount of water. How long will it take to fill it up. You May need to find a river to tap into…lol. Looking great Chris.
SALUDOS CHRIS , ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. I'M SURE THAT POND IS GOING TO LOOK OWESOME. WHEN IS FILLED WITH WATER. G.B.Y.G. YOU DID A NICE JOB.
@@lindak.1672 Yup, that is the best answer. He updated on the small pond long before Chris got back there to do more work. Plus you get to see all the other stuff he is doing to that old moonshiner property. Still wondering where he will find the cash stash from that guy. You know he didn't' use banks or pay taxes on the income. Gotta have some antique bills or gold stashed somewhere unless the family got it all. Or maybe Bealy already found it and that is how he is paying for this lake!!!
@@lindak.1672 If you never saw the original LetsDig18 video of the property before he started on it for Geoff, you would not likely know but this has come so far. The tons of junk lying around the property and where the small pond is was a trash filled swamp in the woods. Old cars and junk everywhere. It was a mess. Geoff really had a vision to see that become this. Saving the house and the barn was vision enough for most, but he took it so much further.
and now the race to the finish line is on. September is next week and the rainy season is close at hand. Kind sad to see the earth work nearly finished at Bealy-Good headquarters!
