I’m from Riyadh and I never been to any place you went to in Saudi.. It’s like learning about my country with you. Your not the only one who is Confused even us Saudi are confused since our country is very huge, every 10 km different accent, different features and different culture. That's why the more you travel the more confused your gonna be and it's become hard to find similarity between the place you visited. Good luck 💛

You're doing a Fabulous job Peter , I really like the clear definition @ the beginning of your episodes because in many ways it is very distinct way of putting it and the Saudi people that I have met in Saudi and abroad and in my home city of Vancouver Canada also a west coast city have always been friendly, charming and funny and open to ideas both traditional and modern; some of my best times have been with the Saudi students who have traveled to Vancouver for outside studies. Cooking late night dinners with them, joking with them and also praying with them. It is worth noting for the record there was never any intoxication only good clean fun and I was always impressed by there ability to have a great time without it . I have been to the great Holy cities of Mecca and Medina and was also impressed with what I experienced both as a Canadian convert and a visitor, I would imagine Peter that you would be able to develop so many friendships along the way. Once last thing I would also recommend that you visit my wife's country of Morocco, where you will also take in a wealth of different cultures and experiences; there is also a mystique that exists in Morocco as well . Wow again good choice Peter , Some Saudi people here expected you to spend most of your time in Saudi to visit modern Saudi cities like Riyadh and Jeddah But I think it is a chance for them to know many forgotten beautiful places in their country via your channel It is also a good Chance for local people to rethink about what does tourism mean I hope your channel would do this impact in the local people

I totally understand why you get these mixed feelings about saudia and i will state the reasons in this comment from a common saudi guy’s perspective ... the first reason is because you compare the lifestyle you saw in Riyadh to the lifestyle you saw in small villages like rijal and farasan island and i must say I am a saudi and i have never been to these places because it is still undeveloped The majority of people you‘ve met in this video are not even saudis but you get this feeling that we can relate to this kind of people& lifestyle but these are small villages very far away from the action. I must say saudi people are very diverse some of them are very strict and some of them are very very open-minded people but all of us are well-connected to the world! Enjoy your stay without getting these mysterious vibes about the country because there isn’t anything mysterious even though these feeling are what keep us excited haha. Enjoy your trip!

The beauty about Saudi Arabia is that it’s so diverse and you continue learning about it as time passes by even if you’re a local ❤️ There are a lot of misconceptions about the rules in here, the rules aren’t so clear plus we have those hidden cultural rules and I think that made people assume rules depending on their own point of view and think you must stick to them even if it’s not actually a rule, people are different thus you might hear different rules from different people. Allowing for the visa was a huge thing I always wanted, Saudis definitely heard about it but still we are not familiar with seeing tourists hanging around even if you live in Jeddah, the most diverse city like me :) I wish to see more and more tourists in here 🙏🏻 I hope you spent a very good time in here and you’re welcome again :)

Women can dress in whatever style they want. What’s hard to understand in that? In major cities like Jeddah and Riyadh, women can wear t-shirts and jeans, in other parts of Saudi abaya is recommended but still not legally required.

You go to strange places, even the residents of the city do not go to these places.

Saudi Arabia is a mystery but really my memories of childhood spent there is one of warmth, safety and love. Lots of love. As a kid I didn’t full appreciate all that Saudi had to offer. I thought it was too restrictive and hot! But looking back now, it made me who I am today and I only feel love and appreciation for my second home. It’s been 25 years since I left but I am Muslim so I will be back for the Hajj One day inshaAllah!!!!

I hope Jeddah is in your list. It’s the most open minded city in the country and you’d love it there. Your videos so far are very reflective of the people and the society culture and customs but not the beauty of these cities. I think you should’ve had a guid or some friends to tell you where are the best places to visit. It’s very empty where you go. And I have to admit we should put some guides and advice online to help tourists where to go and what to visit.

Tbh myself as a saudi living in Riyadh i find it interesting to see these places in my country that i never saw and explore. Yet, there’s a plenty of more interesting places that you will really like. An example could be al ola in jabal ali. it is one of the most beautiful tourist attraction places.

عطوني لايكات يا شباب خلوه يشوف :) I've seen all your videos about Saudi Arabia including this one, and what I've concluded is that you did it all wrong, wrong places, wrong times, wrong people to hang out with -not all of them-. You should've taken a local tour guy, and go where all tourists go.. I know that you want to learn more about the culture, and don't want to be fooled with an image that the government is trying to shape, or whatever you're thinking, I don't know, but Saudi isn't ready for this kind of stuff. The tourism itself just opened recently. So even with a tour guy there isn't much to see, so just roaming around alone will be useless. We ourselves the citizens just got introduced to entertainment recently, so there isn't much even for us. Next time, at least, go at night because that's when most people go out. In the morning most people are either working or asleep. You missed the best places, you went at the wrong times. I've seen many tourist RU-vidr's videos, and I can say that yours are the most disappointing, most of it you were wandering alone without anyone with you (because as I said earlier you went in the morning) and sometimes you went to the wrong places like this video. I don't know if your tour is over or not you said there are going to be 10 videos, I don't know if its prerecorded or you're still in Saudi, if it is, then its such a shame you got to see nothing about Saudis and their culture, You should've at least gone to a wedding. If you are still in Saudi then I have an idea for you, since that you don't want to tour like a normal tourist, you should contact any famous Saudi vlogger and ask him to be your tour guy and show you all of Saudi, those kind of videos are getting very popular these days, which a Saudi RU-vid takes a foreigner all around the city or all around Saudi, they will not refuse to take you because they will get a shitton of views anyway. Finally you should go to Jeddah because its the most open minded city in the Kingdom and I think that's what you are looking for. Sorry for writing so long I hope you read it

Hi Peter. I’m from Yanbu. I hope you can visit us soon, and here’s my observation about your vlogs. I love how open and opinionated you are at the same time. I guess your videos are very unique. There are a lot of vlogs made about Saudi Arabia lately but non of them felt real to the experience. Vloggers just didn’t have that much of a time to make any of their judgements. Another thing is about people in my country. As a Saudi who lives in a small city, I think people share universal characteristics that makes us humans😂 I mean clearly. You can see that on social media too, people all over the world are insanely similar. As a Saudi however I still don’t know a lot of things about people in my country. You’ve visited more places than I have ever visited, so you’ve seen more. But again, people are people everywhere. Finally, wait until night to see more people in the streets 😭.
