I sadly see the elders of these families screeching at their grandson and/or granddaughter in laws: "we warned you about this! You have let the Wind Contaminate the blood line!!!!!!" I sadly see the Ancestors from the 90's animated movie Mulan screaming this at the living! XD!
Arab scholars wrote about an island east of China called "al-Wakwak" the island was inhabited solely by women. they had a tree that would grow women and they would hang by their hair from the branches and when they're "born" they fall from the tree fully grown and beautiful. according to studies of the descriptions of the island, modern academics think they were either talking about Japan or somewhere in south east asia.
@@Pyxis10 there's pictures depicting how they thought it worked. if you google al wakwak you'll see them. also apparently the women of these islands led pirate raids. so the arabs basically thought that the japanese were pirate waifus.
@@Thesandchief Wakwak probably originally referred to Indonesia. There are old history books which mention the people of Wakwak invading the Zanj Coast. Presumably, this was before the legends about the trees of women originated. Archeological records suggest that people from the Nusantara archipelago regularly raided East Africa about 2000~1000 years ago.
I think there's a chapter from Worlds End Harem that almost foretold to this story in a post apocalyptic world where a male protagonist woke up from a 5 year cryogenic sleep to cure his disease and lived in an island that have do many women and he would impregnate all of the women on the island after the deadly virus that killed male population on this planet.
Actually those women- islands were red light areas situated at nearshore islands. Such sort of business was not allowed in mainland port- towns, so the whole adult market shifted to tiny islands near ports. They used to cater mostly foreign traders and their servants. Most of those women were not willingly there. They were poor indentured labourers of rural Japan, Southeast Asia and Korea who were forced to live in massive hardships.
@@marocat4749 "Most were not willingly there...poor indentured laborers...forced to live in massive hardships." More like the pimps and such bypassed "rigid" regulations and laws, to continue to treat women like objects while claiming "iT's LiBeRaTiNg!", and were allowed to do so because the wealthy clients were and/or paid off those making the laws and regulations. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
What do you think made the printing press take off? Sure, they got initial investments to print bibles. But the populous was illiterate, and they needed "picture" books.
That is exactly what happened to my neighbor when her husband went overseas for work for 6 months. She ended up getting pregnant 4 months after he left from the wind. It's totally possible.
Reading just the title I thought that Zeus somehow slipped into Japanese folklore 😂. Your vids r gold. I'm mostly just here to hear u slip in jokes and puns in a serious voice.
funny how almost every culture has some folklore about a woman who got pregnant from some divine mythology when in actual fact it was probably an elaborate conspiracy to elevate their own social status at best, a lie to protect their child from potentially harmful fathers at mid, or someone roofied them and raped them in their sleep at worst.
"I bent over, looked into the well, felt a heavenly piercing sensation, and got pregnant". Yep, that's how looking into a well gets you pregnant, alright.
I remember one of the episodes in journey to the west, that in order to get pregnant they have to drink the water in the river which make them pregnant, and that's where our main character did something wrong, Tripataka drank it. Let's just say he had parenthood all of the sudden.
@@ObsidianNightFury check out the RU-vid channel overlysarcasticproductions. Red has a whole series about this story (which the river pregnancy is only a small part of the series)
@@ObsidianNightFury There are like a gazillion adaptations of the novel "Journey to the West", so there's also a lot of adaptations of that particular story lol. I can't seem to find an english-subbed version of the 1996 TV series' adaptation, but the entirety of the 1986 TV series are up on youtube with English subtitles, and episode 16 tells the full story of their adventures in the Country of Women. I'd link you, but youtube's a bit finicky with links, even ones for their own site.
@@ObsidianNightFury well, here's me trying to give you some links anyway XD 1986 TV version ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WWCesfvZ9zQ.html 2018 movie clip. Also contains a bit of reference to the 1986 TV series lol ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JPbZNEly1N0.html
Just as a thing, there's also a version of this in "Journey to the West." From what I've read, women there had a way to get knocked up, but a way to abort, too.
The video aside I find it hilarious and uncomfortable that when he said "not your cup of pee" I was literally pouring myself a cup of tea that was yellow.🤣😂
Some wrote a beautiful comment about an island called Al-wakwak, which had these trees which bore fruits in the form of beautiful nymphs. Buddhist and Hindu mythology speak of a similar tree called Nariphon. So the story goes like, once the god of thunder, Indra, created an abode for his wife and children to live inside a forest. When his wife used to go to bathe in the nearby lake, she kept getting chased by hermits who used to live and meditate in the forest. They wanted to take advantage of her, because despite meditating they were not able to control their lustful desires. (Creepy IKR) To punish the monks, Indra created twelve of these special Nariphon trees, which would bear “fruits” which were kinda like clones of Indra’s wife. The women would be all naked and would hang by their hair on the branches of trees. Whenever she went out at night, the tree bore these fruits to distract the monks from her. The hermits would get attracted to these nymph like fruits and would take them home to have sexual intercourse with the women. But after having sex with the magical nymphs the monks would lose all their powers and all the knowledge that they had gained from years long meditation.
@@Tia-Marie so you have a Horrible smelly "wind stalker" just following you around? I'm sorry how that came across but are you sure it's not a "wind" baby with a full diaper trying to get you to change it!!?! XD!!!!!!! I'm sorry I had to ask.
i literally JUST finished the previous video and as soon as you said "but you probably don't want to hear about that" i was like EXCUSE ME? YES I DO? then i refresh my home page and here it is thank you edit: the descriptions of the art has me dead
@@DavidUtau ??? dude why would i lie about something so insignificant (edit typo) i even commented on the other video before i saw this one, but go off
When you mentioned them being impregnated by the wind, my thoughts immediately went to the word "Embolism." Anyway, I consider myself a patron of the arts. I may have to sign up for your Patreon...for the sake of art.
You killed me... 😂 The witty remarks were even better than usual and your character's left hand looked like something else entirely, for a second, there... at 2:13
I actually tried looking up these prints myself, and one of them was an octopus doing some talented things with its tongue. Gonna assume that wasn't one of them..
interesting... I'm somewhat chinese and as far as I know, the chinese island of women “nv wa guo" is not so much associated with sex as it was associated with blessedness, deities and demons and genderally a place you dont want to go. Kinda like how people view sirens, that you never want to meet them. Didnt know it was so sexed up in the japanese versions hahaha
There is a very interesting piece of record in “The Old Book of Tang”:“Eastern Kingdom of Women, which is a different kind of Western Qiangs(normadic people, who lived in today‘s south western part of China, spoke mostly various kinds of Tibeto-Burman languages).” This is another story of a regional state that women held dominate roles in the society in old Chinese records.
@@luisa.espinoza48 The other island is the one where Sanji ends up, Momoiro Island. A place for "those with a heart of a maiden". 💙 The queen of the island is Emporio Ivanov!
He should be safe given that it IS educational content. You can find footage of live births, surgeries, etc on RU-vid that stay up and get lots of views for their “educational” content
Brilliant. Love the subtitles can't spell sexy (spelled secksy) or sex ( secks). Well better than missile soup ( miso soup). Thank You so much this is awesome sauce.
The first story of how the men became so depleted reminds me of the episode of Ishozuku Reviewers where they go to a brothel specializing in lower Succubi
Oh man I didn't even look at the pictures but the phrase "you can almost hear the sounds of people eating at a ramen restaurant comign form the painting" is so unexpected and evocative hahahahaha
