I have an old friend named MacInnes who had family in Uist. We played pipes together in a band from Vancouver that won the world pipe band championship in 1995 and 1996. I spent a lot of time in Glasgow back then . Should have spent some time on the islands obviously!!😢

In your other video where you stayed at Mallaig i spent 3 nights there just over 20 years ago this month, while visiting my Sister in Edinburgh it sure is a wee backpackers place upstairs 10 quid when i was there a night.

@@IonaMacinnes I've just watched this again! I could listen to you all day haha I just love your accent. It's weird for me that my great great grandad would have had one similar (tho he was from Dumfries & Galloway) because no-one in my family has a Scots accent. So the music, in this one I think it's just right, but I do think when you are speaking, don't have music as well. I have my volume up loud so I can hear the commentary, so it's a shock when suddenly it's music and loud lol. Did the wind muffler arrive yet?? You should be really successful at this Iona you are SO watchable.

Hello, I'm sorry I'm only seeing this message now. I agree with all you say re the music esp if I'm speaking, don't want to give you a shock when music suddenly really loud, good tips again! It's funny when people say they like my accent, it's nice for you to hear it if you dont have many people around you with a Scottish accent to remind you of your family from years gone past.
