Just returned from Harris and it is hard to imagine when standing on Luskintyre, or Seilbost or Horgabost that you are still in the UK. Strange that the drone doesn't manage to capture the grey/white colour of the sand when you are closer to the sea. Never seen that specific colour anywhere in the world even in Thailand, Malaysia, South Africa, States or Kenya. It's unique 👍
Old Mr Mackay used to run a garage there opposite Tarransay Island. And Hamish the lobster fisherman took us over in his small boat one day to paint the trig point on top. It was a beautiful place.
Epic video Ross. I went last May and I can't wait to return again in May this year. I'm taking the Mini 2 again so hopefully I'll get a few films and shots of this totally stunning part of the world, it's paradise but let's keep it amongst ourselves 😅

This isn't good news! I'm planning on going up there early next year and the main point of the trip is to get away from other people. I'm a friendly guy, I just wanna go somewhere quiet!!!!
@@merchyllynable It's hard to see how that is possible as there so few places for tourists to stay on Harris and Lewis and the local population is tiny. I've just returned fro this beach and it's vast so even though there might have been 100 people there in total, the massive beach felt deserted. Then you have Seilbost and Horgabost which are also astonishing within 5 miles.
