Isle of Man TT 2022 Ready to race. Will Dave be fast enough to race the Superbike and Superstock TT? 

Dave, your in our history books! No losers in this game..all heroes for me. When media is so sanitized, it’s so refreshing to see your real world content.

I had tears in my eyes as you (Dave) spoke so fondly about your pal in the paddock, Davy Morgan. I know that every road racing fanatic - be it riders & spectators - will greatly miss seeing that trademark pink lid flashing by again. May he rest peacefully now - after a life spent following his dream.

Thanks for bringing us such great race and behind the scenes coverage. Sorry to hear about the deaths especially your friend Davy.

Dave you are producing the absolute best coverage of this TT Your pragmatic approach, humour and enthusiasm is fantastic to watch. It is also deeply moving You are a wonderful story teller 👍

You might not go down in the history books, but like every rider who races around the TT track, who are a TT hero and brings happiness and joy to all the fans that flock to the island every year. You are a part of the Isle of Man jigsaw that if you weren't there the jigsaw would be incomplete.

Your updates with the real meaning of participation are amazing. Your tribute to the fallen was moving. Thank you for what and how you do these videos. Living and experiencing life is the key. Existing is just that. I am no where near being able to do what you do at IOM but I’d do landspeed racing at 67 years old. I have been 209 MPH in a standing 1/2 mile. It is an amazing life experience. You motivate me to continue and display the joy of preparation being as good as the race itself. Thank you and may God ride with the fallen.

Thank you Dave for your insight and words at end, the risks are high but everyone has the right to choose. Thoughts go out to the friends and family of those who have lost their life living their Dream.

For some reason whilst watching this I was thinking of the late great John Hinds "The Flying Doctor", he's probably chasing riders in the great curcuit in the sky, sadly missed by so many.

Shame we didn’t get to see you race Dave but great tribute to Mark, Olivier and Davey, still hard to believe for me but as you said, it’s a choice and I know I’d want to do it regardless of the dangers. One thing I’d like to say, while we are so grateful that IOMTT have streamed live, with more exposure comes more critique and we all know how the world is moving now.

Ahh yes, my favorite time of year, TT season 🙌. Great to see you and your team are doing well!!

Great video, well said at the end. My dad was a pilot in the RAF many years ago and he lost alot of mates but was always of the opinion that they died doing what they loved. Same applies here which is why this summer I'm getting my first bike with the end goal of going racing.

I’m from South West Pennsylvania and I enjoy fast bikes. It is 5 PM I just got home from work and I’m going to jump on my GEN one Vmax which was production number 2131 of the line in June 85. It has 12,000 original miles and I have a stack of used rear tires. The pull and Twork of my bike is amazing and I love it. Gear up proper and open that throttle to forget about all the dumb shit in life for a little while anyway because you’re concentrating on staying alive.

I came across your channel last night and have just finished watching your TT 2022 videos. While the new TT+ channel has been great for those of us not over this year, it doesn't make up for not being able to mooch about the paddock. Your videos have been a great substitute for that and I've thoroughly enjoyed watching them - the cameraderie around the paddock is fantastic and something that you don't really experience as a fan around the paddock so thank you for sharing.

Dave Henson! Through the avenue of RU-vid I feel that I have got to experience a little part of your live, your love of the sport and the passion for bikes in every way. You are a kind and honest man who is able walk the paddock speaking to not only to the big team riders but also the riders who manage to scrape the sponsorship year after year to return to the tt. As a follower of Irish road racing and tt it saddens me to hear the loss of any riders. A very sore year for the tt. I 100% agree, your sport, your love, your passion and your decision. Ride safe lad and keep her between the hedges.

Dave, what a great heartfelt tribute to Davy and the other fellows. I realise it was difficult for you to do as the emotion was carried on your words and will no doubt resonate with many as they did with me. Also, hopefully your measured explanation of why you guys race may in some way enlighten those who do not understand. I first met Davy at Olivers in ‘14 and ended up having occasional contact with him since. Always had time to spend and was a really genuine fellow. All in my house were big supporters of his, especially my oldest boy. I remember the race when he came in a lap shy… I was standing at Mere when he flicked his visor up and thought he had a mechanical. When I asked him in the paddock he said it was a “schoolboy error”, had I realised I would have shouted to him to do one more, he would have heard no doubt. He will be sadly missed by many. It is also poignant how you captured him going off the line and heading down Bray Hill living his dream for the last time. Keep up the podcasts, I enjoy watching. Best Wishes and Steady Away. John

Gutted you didn’t get a run out on the big bike Dave. Massive hats off to all 3 gentlemen. My step dad marshaled the S100 races for years and Davy was a big fan of the Billown circuit. Big personality gone.

It's good to show the real life drama of the TT Dave, this reminds me of the series real TT heroes which was brilliant, we know when it's good it's the best sport in the world... Well said on the choices that we all make regarding risk taking. I ride a motorbike to work most days come rain or shine, I ride horses still and have in the past done rock climbing and white water kayaking all hobbies that sometimes havea fair chunk of risk involved. Nobody has forced me to do any of it and I would do it all again in a heart beat. Thankyou for your insight in to what goes on behind the scenes in racing. As you said it is painful to lose friends in that way but I hope that some people can understand that they were doing something they lived for.

Well said Dave, it is the riders choice and you do it for the love of riding your bike as fast as you can, their will always be those that don't understand and unfortunately one day they may get the racing stopped, but today is not that day, so best of luck in the super twin. Hopefully your misfortune in qualifying with the superbike/ superstock won't stop you trying again next year.
