There is value in detail. Don't feel like you have to rush anything out, or meet any particular schedule. Do whatever topic strikes you and take however long you need to cover it. We're here because we like your guys' style. Don't try to be anything else.

Listened start to finish. It's a topic I know nothing about, but you had me gripped the whole time! Well researched and written, Roman. Thanks for putting this out there!
I go to the Island at LEAST twice a year, I work at the TT and go to the Manx GP as a punter. I've loved bikes all my life, had my first bike at 13, and at 47 now have 7 bikes to my name. Not that I think my opinion bears any more weight than anyone elses, but I wanted to say how much I enjoyed what you've done, and I well appreciate how much work went into it. Really very good, and thankyou.
Roman, you never fail to bring a story of interest and your narration never fails to convey the message you wish to provide. Keep up the good work, the album is great and RCR Stories are something I look forward to watching whenever they are released.
Thanks, Roman. I've enjoyed all of the docs, but this one had me tearing up. It is about as hard to logically justify the dangers of motorsport as it is to justify the Duane Hanson quote I've heard second hand: "If you're not willing to die for your art, get out now." But for anyone who's done either, it's almost self evident.
Roman. You're the business. Thank you so damn much for this lecture. Words can't express my gratitude. I've always been intrigued by TT but now I'm committed to this spectacle's presence.
Randomly stumbled into that channel about a year ago. Not only did it made me discover the Isle Of Man TT but also the Ulster GP as well. Now in hooked on both. Hell of a channel. It doesn't seem to update as often anymore but still the videos are top notch.
For what it's worth, I've always though the measure of quality was making something interesting to someone who wasn't interested in the subject matter to begin with. So, with that said, I wasn't interested in motorcycle racing before, but watched this all the way though. Kudos on the quality content.
Roman, the films/videos in this series are informative and interesting documentaries. You should be really proud of these. Great job. This kind of thing gives this channel legitimacy from a journalistic standpoint. Count me as impressed.
Sir, you are bordering on taking over "One Man's Island" the first motoring documentary which made me physically cry. I've been a fan of the race for YEARS, and I never knew 1/10th of what you've presented to us today, with humor, respect and true wonder. Thank you.
RCR covering THE greatest race on earth. I live just a 45 min flight from the IOM. Such an incredible event, and truly mindblowing to see a pack of bikes flying past just a metre away at 200+MPH. Its the ultimate in competition and nothing can come close.
For all the documentaries I've seen on the TT, this was very well done. Given everything else I've watched includes race footage, I was surprised how hooking this was with only still pictures and voice over. Great job!
HO LEH FCKIN SHIT Roman this is awesome, i didn't know i wanted a feature film lenght podcast about the isle of man narrated by you until now, but damn i need it This is one of the very few instances i upvote and comment first and then watch the video
Gad dang it, why did I put off watching this for so long ? ! IT WAS BLOODY BRILLIANT FROM START TO FINISH. Good work Mr. Roman and everyone involved. I get these are a lot of work but it felt like watching a movie/documentary but with my ears. Please, keep doing these. So far I haven't missed one yet. Good work !!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Isle of Man TT was possibly the first motorsport event to mandate the use of helmets. At some point this was the most safety-conscious race around.
This may be the most enjoyable history of the TT I’ve watched. Hats off to you for taking this on. It’s a greasy bear of a topic. In case people aren’t familiar with the expression, just imagine what said ursine combat would be like.
I've lived less than 100 miles from the Laxey Wheel and heard of TT's on the news for 50 years, but just got a crash course in what the fuss was all about. Fascinating!
Thanks for putting this together. This was great. The Isle of Man TT is a race that is burned into my mind and something that continues to fascinate me in perpetuity.
Thank you for putting this together. Your documentary story-telling is getting better with each release. This was a great production and your sore voice was worth it. I'll be rewatching soon as I'm sure there are things I missed this first pass.
Enjoyed it. I've been a closet TT fan for many years.. I just wish history like this could be woven into the regular RCR vids like he did in the past. I find myself only watching these vids and not watching the "regular" ones anymore.
That was wonderfully written and delivered. I'm a big fan of RCR and the Roman killed this documentary. I should have been in bed 2 hours ago and I regret nothing.
Great job. The Roman does it again with solid research, writing, and narration. Just like his Edsel and Lee Iaccoca reviews this is one solid piece of work that deserves praise. Cheers!
I have the track memorized from Bray Hill to Sulby Crossroads, and i can tell you it took a damn good while just for that. I'll hopefully be racing there in the summer of 2022.
Absolutely fantastic, Mr. The Roman! I deeply enjoyed this, and if anything served as a motivation to want to support you guys on patreon, this is it! Entertainment, education, all relating to cars and motorsports, i love it! Thank you for this!
The TT is such a fascinating race. After reading about it over the years and watching videos of it I'd love to see a race in person...and maybe ride the route a couple times. Thanks for another great RCR documentary. Unfortunately for me, your video was the final catalyst for a game purchase I had been considering over the past couple weeks. I had already been feeling some major nostalgia for the Tourist Trophy game on PS2, what with the impending new Gran Turismo release. Then this video comes out. So, after a short motorcycle ride to Gamestop, I find myself with a pre-owned copy of Ride 2 waiting to be popped into the PS4. Hopefully it's actually good...it was worth $30 not to go through endless boxes to find my copy of Tourist Trophy.
OMG! I freaking love Tourist Trophy! SOOOO many awesome bikes, excellent controls and physics, and allows you to use the right stick for throttle/brake. Really amazing game! 🤘
This was absolutely amazing, have you ever thought of going over the mods and rockers day of the 60s? Sat down and watched the whole off it and it was very interesting, can tell so much time and effort went in to getting this just right.
A great and thorough documentary Roman! I think the thing with these is that you DO take your time and do all the research. Relax, spend the time you need to write, edit, edit again, etc. We will be happy to wait a bit if they are as good as this one! Well done.
I was just about to ask how the next RCR story was coming along when this dropped! I'm glad you dropped it when you did and it lived up to the excitement I'd built up without realizing it! Awesome work, Roman. I hope you continue these awesome, historic stories!
Spectacularly well done. My only complaints were the pronunciations of some of the European motorcycle brands, but otherwise, superbly organized and executed. Well done, Roman and RCR!!!
finally got some time to go through this one roman. as usual....one helluva job but this one is exceptional as it is about a race that has been held in high regard personally. in my opinion this is your best work yet and well worth the effort you have put forth. quality over quantity is preferred here.
I love these so much, the Roman is such a great speaker. Could you please do one of these one the WRC? I love rally so much and I think more people should appreciate what classic rally riding was like. You guys rule!
Every video, every clip, every frame of every documentary fails to grasp the immensity of this legendary event. This isn't due to a failure of intent, or lack of effort. It has more to do with doing justice to the competition and it's legendary history. This masterpiece by Regular Cars arguably is the closest to do the event justice.
Just came here to comment because I listened to this on spotify. I assumed without checking the dates that the "curse" on the Dunlop family was going to cover William's death on the podcast but was surprised to know that he passed away months after this went live, so it makes it look even creepier now. It really makes it look like a curse.
Bray hill just sounds deadly to me. The isle of man tt should be another world wonder...FOR REAL!!! 🔥 There's a video of Dunlops death on RU-vid. His engine blew and he actually rode that bike sideways for a lot longer than I thought possible. I only mention it because I think people should watch it just to see what these guys knowingly face and are all to aware of what can and does happen but still race it.These guys showed me a whole another dimension of fast and balls that I didn't know existed. ♥️🙏
Thank You for putting this all into perspective Roman....Ive always had a hard time grasping history, but when its displayed like this and all about motorcycles .....I'm All In.....I'm still keeping an eye out for the "lil bastard"....
My wife is from there. When we had just started dating it was just after the TT that year. First time I met my mother in law, first thing I remember her saying other than hello was "It was a good year for TT this year, only 6 people died."
The Roman, I've now watched every single one of your history videos on the day they're released, start to absolute finish. As someone who shares the passion, I will continue to happily watch every single one of these up to the very last second. I have every confidence in your ability to take the subject matter, any subject matter about cars/bikes/transport, frame it with meaningful context and present it as thoughtful expression of both fact and explanation of enthusiasm. You, sir, are a natural at this. As long as you continue, count me in. If you'd ever like help with production, ideas or research, I'm happy to help. The distance between kindred spirits is always a trivial matter, so if I can help by offering thoughts, looking up facts/insights, proofreading, or even just the occasional words of encouragement I stand ready. If you're ever lacking for subject matter, I'd also offer two opposing suggestions: History v. Ralph Nader - "Unsafe At Any Speed" or "What You Manifest Is Before You", Garth Stein, racing tips, and the car enthusiast book that keeps giving. (if you haven't yet read "The Art of Racing in the Rain", go, now. It's an investment in yourself that you'll appreciate when you're done!
A+ as usual sir. This one took me a few sittings to get through (as I don't know my head from my ass when it comes to motorcycle racing... and don't really care to, either!) That said - Your narration along with the detail and genuine effort you put into this made me want to finish it. And here I thought Dunlop just made tires and tennis equipment!
By far the BEST vid you guys have made, this is amazing THANK YOU for making this. I thought i was a huge IOM TT fan, but i learned soooo much more about this race. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!!!
