🇬🇧 Isomoto is a historic Italian brand.
At the beginning of its history it was called Iso, born in Bolzaneto (Genoa) as a factory of radiators and chillers and moved after the Second World War to Bresso, on the outskirts of Milan, when it converted to the production of motorcycles (Iso Autoveicoli). Famous in the 50s and 60s were not only motorcycles such as the Furetto scooter (1948), the Isoscooter, with 125 engine and the Isomoto, with 3-speed gearbox and 125 engine (the 200 arrived in 1952). The Milanese company has also made the Isocarro, a light motor truck and the most famous vehicle of its production, the Isetta minicar, with engine derived from the Isomoto 200, increased to 236 cm3, and 4 wheels of which the rear are close together.
Isetta was unsuccessful in Italy, but it obtained a lot of it in Germany, where it was produced under license by BMW.
The production of microcars and motorcycles ended in 1957.

All'inizio della sua storia si chiamava Iso, nata a Bolzaneto (Genova) come fabbrica di caloriferi e refrigeratrici e trasferitasi dopo la seconda guerra mondiale a Bresso, alle porte di Milano, quando si è convertita alla produzione di motociclette (Iso Autoveicoli).
Celebri negli anni 50 e 60 sono stati non solo i motocicli come lo scooter Furetto (1948), l'Isoscooter, con motore 125 e l'Isomoto, con cambio a 3 marce e motore 125 (il 200 è arrivato nel 1952).
L'azienda milanese ha anche realizzato l'Isocarro, un motocarro leggero e il mezzo più famoso della sua produzione, la minicar Isetta, con motore derivato dalla Isomoto 200, portato a 236 cm3, e 4 ruote di cui le posteriori ravvicinate.
L'Isetta ebbe poco successo in Italia, ma ne ottenne molto in Germania, dove fu prodotta su licenza da BMW.
La produzione di microvetture e moto terminò nel 1957.
