I respect street ball, it has it's own set of rules, I'm surprised Iso does so well in streetball, alot of defenders would just get so feed up with him he'd get messed up, than again perhaps it's a subtle respect for the skill set, otherwise someone would just step in close with his arms, and just dig out the ball

And I'll be honest sure you would have a better chance of "making a play" if you'd call it that, but playing a nice ballhandler tightly kinda makes it easier for the ball handler. Yuji Shibanushi I think if fouls were called no one would score lol. The closer the score is the more someone would foul or call really light stuff in my experience. There comes a point where it's like, "Well, if that's how it's gonna be played..." Since it's pick up, I doubt anyone would care much lol. KP was a better shooter and that helped a lot.

The point of these 1 on 1s isn't who wins, it was moreso to help ISO, so when he plays in an actual game, he'll be hitting and 1s for days. As far as for KP goes I think they were just using him to play physical and help ISO so that in game it'll be way easier to get to the basket. Dwyane Wade used to play streetball like this.
KP plays just like every other black person on a pick up game, a lot of physical contact and defensive foul but never admits them. ISO plays just like every other Chinese person, dribbles a lot but can't go anywhere due to lack to physique and never complains about it lmao

Iso's only sweet spot is the extended mid-range area. With the lack of physicality to drive to the hole or shoot from the 3, it only allows him to attempt those really awkward hook shots and extended floaters. Plus the really fast dribbling combo moves doesn't seem effective except for style points. EDIT: To add, although he has a tight handle doesn't mean he has complete ball security. When he dribbles fast, he sort of dribbles right in front of him and around the hip area which is where you can easily swipe the ball according to ITL's tutorial vid. He doesn't emphasize on which side he's going to cross over with his head, shoulder's and arms thus not fooling the defender. A decently good defender like KP (even though he's fouling at times) doesn't get fooled by the small side-to-side dribbles. If you pressure the ball while focusing him at the hips along with his inability to blow past you doesn't make him that hard to defend.
All true. To add, KP got size and athleticism on Iso. Not only can the kid blow by but can take the contact if Iso happens to read him and guess his next move. When you have size, strength and athleticism on an opponent it's pretty much a wrap unless he has skill out the butt. I'm talking Steph Curry vs Russel Westbrook being the exception to my argument.
1v1: KP is stronger and faster as well as a lot more physical. ISO's got better ball handling( but no offense abilities with his dribbles) and shooting abilities but needs to go to the weight room for some gains and work on dribbling from point A to point B instead of just standing there doing meaningless back and forth dribbles. Neither of them knows how to attack the basket.
it crazy hard to do a 3 dribble to the basket if they getting physical if u seen the usa do this drill ppl was having a hard time more of the stuff they did was shots a few got in some dunks due to most was getting passes in the post.. but besides that you right kp just better cause he got a pull up.. i mean handles only matter if u have a shooting touch or you in and1 or ballup etc..
^ this. if you watch the defense everytime there was a jab step jumper, the defender (either one of them) are falling back closer to the net. Better to take the jumper than to force the layup when both are leaning into the drive.

H. John You're embellishing a lot, iso has a lot of work to do if he doesn't want to just be seen as a fast dribbling streetballer. Every possession he had was terrible. He also needs to hit the weight room, long floaters and hook shots isnt a good substitute for lack of physical post game strength.

If they would have called fouls it wouldn't have the same impact it did have on ISO, he needs to be able to not only play through fouls but get to the basket better, it helps him learn
Everybody complaining about fouls and physicality; it pays to practice playing through that stuff. You can't expect every foul to be called by a ref. Learning to deal with being fouled, and playing through it, is beneficial to your game
Yes but this isn't a real game. It's practice. You'd never play iso-ball like this, or limit yourself to 3-dribbles, in a real game. ISO will benefit from the physical play style

Kp did foul a lot. A lot of body charges against ISO. However, i will say this, KPs three pointers were more accurate and on point compared to ISOs who was set on his ball handling and dribbling a lot. He wanted to score more from the inside. Thats what he usually prefers. ISO is good at 3 points but in this video KP was better at it
it seems like they have crazy handles yet they both kept shooting the same shots and iso kept trying to do weird lay ups that never had a chance of going in but I guess I can give him credit for trying lay ups instead of just shooting the whole game
Great to see none of these guys complain about foul calls! This video is the proof that two similar sized guys going at each other being allert at the Defense can only get beaten through step back and fade away js. There is just not enough room to blow by your defender - if he knows how to!
It's a cultural thing that ISO didn't call foul. He didn't want to say "you are fouling the shit out of me every time" to KP's face, because it is considered rude in Asian culture. In western culture, ISO is not confident enough for saying anything. In Asian culture, KP is a petty man for pushing the boundary and not realizing he should stop.
