In this demonstration, a creepy doll represents a person and a hot dog represents human tissue. If we touch something like an appliance at line voltage, a dangerous current could go through us.
[Disclaimer: Don't try this yourself. Un-isolated line voltage could cook you like a hot dog.]
If we add an isolator, even with a dangerous voltage on the input, the output is perfectly safe. Nothing happens to the hot dog.
NVE's unique spintronic isolators have the highest isolation voltages, the longest life, and the smallest packages in the industry.
We also offer isolator "condiments" like the evaluation board we used in this demonstration so engineers can quickly "catchup" with safety requirements.
Our engineers "relish" the chance to help "meat" specific requirements. Contact us at iso-apps@nve.com.
