To me, this is still the gold standard for year-end mashup/mixed. There's skill in blending and mixing songs together. Every year, I'm kinda disappointed when other creators can't do it as well.
The middle felt a bit cluttered to me, but overall I liked it. I always do though, so no surprises there. Isosine should do this through 2020 and then do a decade mashup of all of his yearly mashups. It would probably need to be like 12 minutes long though.
This brings back so much memories, during my gap year in Australia me and my mates travelled and lived in a van, all these tunes were always playing on the radio all the time. 2014 will always be in my heart.
I would love a full song of the Lorde, Tove Lo, and Echosmith mashup. I found it very smart that the Tovo Lo bits added a final kick to the already solid combos
This is an awesome mix. Everything is mixed together very perfectly. And its not choppy at all! And thanks for including Cool Kids! Honestly my only (very tiny) thing is it would have been cool to have the clip of Taylor as a cheerleader when it goes I wish I could be like the cook kids.
Wife and i Just watched it together, We have been Fans for 3 years Thanks Isosine your talent is amazing and you should be proud to share it. Keep em coming
this is actualy better to you than pop love 2014 ? holy shit haha i mean it's a real question cause i like pop love way more can't belive you can actualy like this more xD like go to pop love 2014 and put it at 6:50 it's just incredible
Well done, I especially love the Rather Be+Hey Brother, I am surprised that not many mashups use Hey Brother as a background music, you did and it was amazing. Not the best of this year but I certainly had a good time listening to it. And surprisingly, the best end of year mashup (to me) goes to Squillermusic's 2014 Anthem, it has the smoothest transitions and it's funny that a non-famous one defeated all the major mashups like USPOP and Danthology.
+SirJambo its bullshit honestly but the copyright wont keep it off the net you will find it if you search it.He is one great artist and im truly impressed by this.
Yeah most mashups is always the same people like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Fith Harmony, those type of populare singers. It's weird that Shakira is always not included when her Dare Lalala and Can't Remembe tr to forget you is huge.
Goooood! My only complaint is I'm not a fan of overly sped up/pitch altered vocals but this goes so well together and you included practically all songs of the year, only missing was John Legend "All of Me" and Nick Jonas "Jealous" :( But yeah other than that awesome job!
Take notes Earworm, this is how you make a proper "mellow" down-tempo mashup unlike your Do What You Wanna Do. Decline of EDM you say Earworm? Fuck that!
While listening to this year's Dan/Isosine year end mashes, I noticed something. There's a part of me that keeps telling me this is the gimmicky side of mashups and just a side trip from 'real' non-megamix mashups. Meanwhile, another part of me knows that the less 'gimmicky' 'real' mashups I listen to/make don't give me chills like these year end megamixes do. Then I realized, these are the blockbusters of the mashup world, and there is nothing wrong with getting lost in a great blockbuster. Then I realized I might think too much, but that's okay sometimes. :)
