Israel is the descendants of Abraham and God made a promise to Abraham so that’s why, and Jesus came from their lineage. He came to save The Jews, but God so loved the world that He extended the invitation of salvation to all including the gentiles (if your not a Jew, your a gentile).

@@repentandliveholy The Word of God is timeless. When it was written, we were instructed to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. This is what we need to be doing. Psalm 122:6 tells us to pray that God would bring peace to His city. Romans 11:25 tells us to pray that the Lord would open Israel's eyes to their Messiah. Matthew 5:44 tells us to pray that the Lord would reveal Himself to Israel's enemies. Please pray, all of God's children.

The bible is quite clear that the Jew's rejection of Christ was foreordained to his purpose and glory (Psalms 118 22-24), a form of spiritual blindness and hardening of the heart by God (Isaiah 6), in the Jews rejection of our Lord Jesus Christ, he gave up his life and was glorified taking our sins upon himself and suffering our punishment that we deserved in order that we might be justified and saved from our sins and God's wrath. In the New Testament, it's different. A Christian isn't like a Jew under the Old Covenant. No Christian (by definition: John 1:12-13, Romans 8:9) would ever want to be a political leader. Leadership is the antithesis of what a CHRISTian desires: "But Jesus called them unto him, and said: "Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. *But it shall not be so among you* Whosoever wants to be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many" (Matthew 20:25-28)

Jesus reiterated it to the Pharisees in MT. 15: 8-9. I have caught myself during past bible study at church or at home studies. We sometimes have no business being critical of Hebrew nation. Romans 11:25 TPT [25] My beloved brothers and sisters, I want to share with you a mystery concerning Israel’s future. For understanding this mystery will keep you from thinking you already know everything. A partial and temporary hardening to the gospel has come over Israel, which will last until the full number of non-Jews has come into God’s family. Later on in the chapter it says when the last gentile is saved through faith all of Israel will be saved through faith.

Only a Remnant will be saved. There has always been a remnant of believing Jews of the true God of isreal dating all the way back to the exodus. All non believers will take part in the lake of fire. Any Jew that dies in their sin and does not accept Christ as their savior will perish. They have to be a messianic Jew to be saved. Messianic Jews today are the remnant that Paul mentions in Roman’s 11. All believers are saved by grace through faith so any Jew who does not accept Christ as their messiah even if they still follow the Torah will still go to hell. Technically it’s impossible for modern rabbinic Jews to even follow the Torah laws today because there is no longer any temple since 70 A.D.

The old testament says not to create idols. The same way those who sent him to be crucified were forgiven we will too. Forgive us for we do not know. The greatest sin is knowing and still doing it. They have not turned away from God and he is trying to save us all. He loves us. He loves all of us.
