Izzy was just more calculated and Kelvin got sloppy towards the end. Izzy wasn't really utilizing his reach that much in this fight and stayed in front of gastelum the whole fight. I wish izzy still fought like this but now he realizes with reach he can run and never get hit

This was such a brutal war of a fight. I would say Izzy's biggest challenge in that division. Some of the strikes they were throwing and landing were absolute bombs and left me so surprised it went to a decision. Both guys showed some next level toughness in there.

Looks fixed to me. Not only did he go for the takedown, but his next few punches looked intentionally lazy/pulled, and he went for leg kicks instead of headhunting.

Izzy has been a different animal since this fight, he needed this hard test to walk through whittaker shortly after. Unfortunately gastelum has somewhat stagnated/declined but that’s what happens in wars, one (sometimes both) fighter is rarely the same

This situation is the perfect example for Khamzat. After this tough and grueling fight Adesanya realized you can't fight like that and expect to win every time due to inexperience. This is in my top 3 favorite fights of all time. Both guys brought it and showed why they're world class. Kelvin was in Izzy's face for the whole fight and hurt him multiple times, Izzy showed his masterful striking and distance control. Izzy also showed he could go five rounds with an absolute beast in front of him and he that could deal with adversity. I watched it live and after it was over I said to my friends, "Izzy is gonna be world champion for sure." I felt like he answered all the questions that people had about his potential. However people feel about them now, there's no questions that both of these guys should be in the hall of fame for this fight.
