Yeah. If you watch the end of the fight, Izzy was so out of it he was actually unaware that the ref had changed places with Pereira until the fight was already a few seconds over. It's the standing equivalent of a rocked wrestler, who, from his knees, starts trying on instinct alone to take down the ref.

You should go back and look at the faceoffs Izzy had with Alex before their last fight. He was fidgeting, making nervous faces, and looking around. Alex had to say "look at me" at one point cuz Izzy was avoiding eye contact. I can only imagine how nervous he's going to be this time around given what happened in the first fight.

Bad take on this one. As a long time Izzy fan I could feel something was different. However I got the impression he needed a different approach to beat someone who knows him as well as periera. After tonight and seeing him win the way he did I guess my hunch was correct
To be fair, Pereira corner advice going into round 5 stating ‘you need to knock him out’. That doesn’t sound like a corner that is anywhere near confident of winning the majority of the first 4.
