What I call Diagnostic or Preemptive journalism, is needed more in these times. Israel has a right to defence and that does include whatever level of force is necessary to deter attacks on its own territory. having said that we need a code of conduct to be evenly agreed between Israel and surrounding countries and including territories of Israel such as Westbank and Gaza... and we're talking peacetime conduct. Needs external observers to police as well. This is how we avoid mid East escalation or allowing factions to capitalise on the lack of oversight and management of the situation to stoke tension and eventually war.. Without that its just a matter of time before there is a regional war... and who knows where that might go.
