you actually needed to put gas masks and run away to your house immediately and make sure the windows are closed with specific material and doors when you heard that this is so creepy EAS alarm this is so terrifying

Honestly the alarm itself would've been disturbing enough all on its own. But what really gives me the creeps is that the alert slowly fades in, and after a couple of seconds of just dead silence... THAT sound plays. And I can only wager that it would be so much worse hearing it in the middle of the night...

I love how Spanish and Russian are on the screen whatsoever a lot of people who live in Israel don't speak it. However... I have never seen a EAS with Amharic (under Russian, on top of Spanish) language... I remember watching this in 2020 for the fist time, plus, the Arabic has too much accents on it.

I don't know... This siren doesn't sound too scary to me... It's actually very calming, and I will use this everyday to put me to sleep.

I just realized something. Воздушная тревога (Vozdushnaya trevoga) means “air raid alert” in Russian, but the “д” in the middle looks like an “A” to my untrained eye. That means the typeface for the Russian is basically the Cyrillic version of Comic Sans.

What's interesting is that they don't use a prerecorded sound, it's live sirens. There's a Gulf War alert video taped in 1991 called "gulf War 1991 siren" on RU-vid with a grandmother watching it on a tube TV, the siren is identical but it's not the exact same recording. It's slightly different and more muffled from the one you hear in this video, this just happens to be the most popular one. It might also explain why there is a creepy fade-in at the start.
