Both sides are backed by superpowers who will not let their side fail, so escalation will end with both Israel and Lebanon being decimated while great powers feed the fighters weapons at the very least, and directly intervene at the worst. This war would likely also greatly reduce the quality of life in the west as it will likely lead to more shipping blockades that may effect our ability to get oil. What would any of this be for? It would not result in security or safety.
