Iran doesn't have to hurry. The longer they wait the more it will stress out the Israelis all the more. Iran's oil economy is still going strong whereas Israel's economy is tanking and they can't expect much in the way of aid now. Time is on Iran's side.

Brilliant, weighted retaliation by Iran, explained by Prof Mohammad!

I am completely against the ongoing external policies of Iran. Here's what I think about the impending conflagration: Iran should withdraw completely from championing the cause of Palestinians. Iran has done enough over the years for their cause and has paid the price in becoming a pariah state in the eyes of the world, especially of the West, while selfish oil-rich Arabs have done nothing for their brethren in distress. All the ongoing provocations now are to get Iran to take some unwise steps in retaliation so that it can become an excuse to destroy the country. When that happens, Iran will suffer the loss of millions of lives and the destruction of the country's infrastructure, and worse. Iran should mend its fences with Israel, and let the rest of the world address the ongoing problem. Only through dialogue can the world's problems be solved. Iran owes its first duty to its citizens. It should not involve the country in any war that will see its near-obliteration as an obvious outcome. Have some basic sense and draw back from the precipice. The region needs peace above everything else.

I suspect that the delay in Iran’s response is linked to the visit by the Russian cargo planes that have recently delivered new technology to Iran. This new defensive technology is being implemented in case of Western response and that needs extra time.
