Yahweh was one of several late Bronze early Iron Age gods that the early Israelites followed, along with Baal. Yahweh and Baal were two of the sons of the Sumerian god El, in ancient Ugaritic texts. Eventually Yahweh was adopted as their main and then the only god, adopting the characteristics of the other gods, and the oldest texts in the OT speak of other gods. From this ancient superstition, Christianity and then Islam emerged.

My wife is a Lebanese Christian and her family still lives there. Her family lives in a fear everyday for the past 10 years because of Hezbollah. i can bring my wife to live in Australia with me but we still can't bring her mother out of Lebanon for years because of Hezbollah reign. Now Israel gives me hope that i can bring my mother-in-law to live with us in Australia
