Israel Says Turkey Airport Refused to Refuel its Plane After Emergency Landing | Firstpost America
Israel's national carrier El Al said local airport workers denied refueling one of its planes after it made an emergency landing in Turkey. The flight was travelling from Poland's Warsaw to Tel Aviv but had to land in the Turkish city of Antalya after a passenger onboard fell sick. Media reports said the flight crew received permission to deboard and refuel in Antalya. However, Turkish officials later delayed the decision, saying they needed permits to refuel the plane. The flight reportedly stayed in Antalya for three hours before taking off for Greece and refueling there. Relations between Israel and Turkey have turned sour since Israel's war in Gaza last year.
