My niece was given an assignment at her High School to write a two page or more paper on the current war between Israel and Hamas. So she decided to write the report and included a lot of focus on Yasser Arafat and the Levant region. I thought it was a well written, college level paper. Showed it to an old college professor I knew. Said it was good, not great but effective. To her and mine amazement she did not receive a high level grade. The teacher did not even know who Yasser Arafat was and never heard of Levant. Then again my niece told me this high school's graduates can barely read, write papers complete algebra or any type of math. Still proud of her, she got accepted to William & Mary.

Don't get me wrong I have a high level of respect for the teachers (lord knows I couldn't do it). You don't hear about William and Mary to often. yes and no. Putin has been charged with war crimes, so he basically can't go through any international airports anymore. Putin isn't as ruthless toward civilians. Hes not pushing people out of their homes.... but hes not exactly trying to stop humanitarian crises.
