We go to Part 2 of our conversation with Israeli scholar Neve Gordon, professor of international law and human rights at Queen Mary University of London and chair of the Committee on Academic Freedom for British Society of Middle East Studies. Gordon talks about the "massive surveillance apparatus" Israel has imposed on Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, the use of artificial intelligence tools to bomb targets despite the high error rate in those systems, and the shock of the October 7 attack by Hamas that killed some 1,200 Israelis. "The state seemed not to be functioning, so most Israelis were in great pain, were in great fear," he says. "My fear is that most Israelis are still trapped, still stuck in that October 7th moment and unwilling to lift their eyes to see basically the genocide unfolding in the Gaza Strip."

@bolladeen
They are goin to blame the AI for the genocide. This is beyond disgusting. The world shall never forget nor forgive what they did.
@irieify9334
I was making eggs for my husband Tuesday night while talking on my cell and my hand accidentally hit against the frying pan and all the hot oil spilled some splashing on my house dress, the dress stuck to my skin and I had to pry it off. The burning and pain was extraordinary. Labor pain is bad, but the pain from the this burn was a close second although different. I can't describe it. It ended up as a second degree burn. I bawled so hard, I couldn't sit. I had to lay flat on my back or stand. Immediately, like the first thing that went through my head, is wow, the Palestinian kids I see on social media who have been burnt all over their bodies must feel like they are in hell. At least I can get treatment for my burn covering a small portion of my stomach. They can't. That's what went through my head. Israel's empathy is lacking. Horrific!
@janetyrrell7535
I watched a program interviewing young teenager Israelis a few months ago who said, they did not care if Palestine babies were dying! I found this disgusting!

From someone who worked a decade in prisons in the US, Gaza was always a prison, just a prison.
@dassa0069
Imagine how horrified the world would be if the UK was still in India carrying out the same abuses.
@iversonmatthew
So basically they’re watching everything in Gaza and they killed those kids anyway. Damn that’s a crazy admission.
@sonia8535
thank you for your humanity and courage to stand against oppression
@ianthomas739
" Israel can see everything that the people of Gaza are doing at all times " Somehow on Oct 7th they they stopped looking for some reason ?

Great respect for Prof. Gordon for telling it like it is. His testimony is all the more valuable because he is an Israeli Jew, which importantly serves to remind us all that there are still many brave and righteous Israeli Jews willing to do this, and feeling the obligation to do it, in the service of truth and justice.
@MyLoganTreks
More bomb energy released in Gaza than Hiroshima, how is this Genocide allowed to continue. International courts need to hold them accountable, just like the Nazi were held accountable for doing this to the Jews. Now they will have to be held accountable for their own actions.

Palestinian Lives Matter! 🇵🇸💕
@passthegravy4485
Isn't it likely that Israel knew October 7 was going to happen and allowed it to proceed? Can't we discuss this like adults?
@emmanuelk.tambwe2628
How can they say Israel is the only Democracy in the middle East??????
@LearnWithTheBest
The world is seeing the meaning of TRUE EVIL.
@Samaa-os7hx
If I was isahelli I would have reacted to Oct7 by acknowledging that isahell is a criminal occupier and that they need to leave the stolen land they occupy and beg forgiveness of the Palestinians, not start blaming humus for what the ITF did like a coward would.
@JS45678
Thank God there are still human beings in this world who place humanity above power, greed, and personal agendas. 🙏♥️
