A $1000 DJI drone can still carry a decent bomb payload,like a few kg or 6 or 7 lbs.... Strap 3kg high explosives to drone....... Program 100 of these drones with a algorithm to fly to enemy base by GPS navigation,drop their loads and return to base. Still cheaper than buying a 5 million dollar drone. Imagine the enemy shitting their pants at 100 3kg explosives going off around them.

What if they program the drone to use an autonomous, embedded instruction set that doesn't require constant radio feedback? It's very much within current capabilities for attackers to train a small neural network, that would be loaded into the drone's software, about what the target looked like. This is why you should always have failsafe defense systems that are able to destroy the drone's optics using lasers

But when hit by a radio jammer, instead of simply landing or flying in a holding pattern, it would have enough on board capability to either retreat, evade, or engage depending it's mission. I'm gonna bet some military drones already have this capability.

I mean ,it simply looks like a Wi-Fi hub thats been modified to interupt the drones signal with electro magnetic interferance. It looks like an area denial device that is bubble type rather than dectect and direct ..so any drone with its internals protected by a faraday cage with reflective surface coating should be able to just zip on through especially if its an autonomous drone thats been orogrammed to detect and track land marks rather than follow a remote signal or point to point as they are trying to do with all of those starlink sattelites. I don't know about other things but as for this, it's basically jamming the connection. Military drones which operate at different frequencies and use other systems than GPS will easily be able to target and attack. So it's only useful for personal drones which can't do any harm other than watching football for free.
You might be correct; but, to what purpose would one send a drone on a predetermined flight path if it wasn't on a kamikaze mission? Intel gathering would be a programming headache without direct operator control. Once the first drone is downed electronically, subsequent drones may not be assigned to video observation; and, given a highly realistic suicide role, wouldn't it be prudent to view every drone as a physical threat, and act accordingly? Automated lasers could, potentially, incapacitate the flight controls. Interesting theories.
Bad guys will use a fixed wing drone flying at 100+ mph and use inertial guidance for the last leg (NO RADIO GUIDANCE) AND it will be diving nearly straight down when it attacks. No thinking bad guy will use an off the shelf drone.
@Thumli Koben I made that comment back when I thought Israel was the only one in the region who used drones. So it seemed dumb to me to use an anti-drone system when I believed there were no non-israeli/enemy drones. Now I know better. But do try to understand a simple comment next time.
Sorry to say, Not good enough. This system does not detect Non-commercial freq., Autonomous or IMU drones, this is just a simple RF direction finder for legal RF standards. Certainly, not all drones have a connection vulnerability to take control. What I'm building is definitely not. There is no BVLOS detection, so forget the Urban use between buildings on ground level. The Whitelisting is very dangerous because the bad guys can copy those connection set-ups and fly easily inside the perimeter. And 4 km diameter perimiter protection is just 2 km circle radius. Not enough reaction time against a fast drone, or a drone swarm. And react with what then btw agains something i mentioned up? You will shake your fist at the sky like they did at Armania? This system bleeds from many wounds... try harder.
There is nothing wrong with that. It's when you ask yourself a question and then have to ask yourself to repeat the question, then it becomes a big problem 😊
