Why watch club Shay Shay? I have no desire to waste my time watching a 56 year old "man" who publicly embarrassed himself jumping on the court to sack lick lechina James during the grizzlies game.. dropping F-bombs a making threats? If blk sports stars act like that what can we expect of blk youth??
Ossai played out of his mind the last Quarter of that game. My heart sank watching him cry over that mistake in trying to make a play. The Bengals likely aren’t in a position to win without his level of play. I’d take him on my team. -a Ravens fan.
Both teams were making late hits on one another from the start of the game. I believe the coaches set the mindset for bother teams. Both teams were playing with emotions not cognitive tactical, objective awareness.
Joe Burrow gets all the credit when they win but none of the blame when they lose. Sure Ossai could get have let up and not gotten a dumb penalty but like Joy said Joe Burrow had a chance to put the game away with over 2 minutes left with 2 time outs and couldn’t get it done period.
No. It's equally silly. Reasonable people (not media talking heads) never give 100% of the praise nor blame on one person. Like mathematically you EVERYONE down to the refs, coaches, water boy etc. are responsible for wins/losses. People act like Joe and even Patt for that matter are 100% responsible for anything beyond their actions on the field. They don't play every position.
@@BenReillySpydr1962 I’m not giving % 100 blame to Joe or anybody else. football is a team sport. I just think it’s weird how Joe Burrows name didn’t come up when he had 2 turnovers. People like to blame the last guy who made a mistake for the reason why a team lost but there are many factors that led to the outcome.
@@robp.8669 Please do not elaborate further we understand your point. It is mostly JB fault he has the ball 80 percent of time and make decisions. He came up short with sacks and INCOMPLETIONS. He just got exposes and he kept throwing the ball in the dirt even causing grounding. The dude did not put his body on the line like PH did. One guy wants to win so bad the other wants to save his body.
@@mikel772 doesn’t matter. It was still a pick. And he got less yards than Mahomes with his full receiving core meanwhile Mahomes only had Kelce at the end of the game and he was being doubled the entire time
@@tig3rBite so was the uncalled block in the back on the punt return and the blatant hold on the Mahomes run. Or the roughing the passer on Burrow before the punt. I have no dog in this fight but it was blatantly obvious KC got the benefit of referees. Still shoulda made plays though.
Ossai played a great game. It's a darn shame that it will only be remembered for that last play. It was a costly mistake, but the Bengals had a shot to win the game at the end in no small part because of Joseph Ossai. I felt his pain.
i dont blame anyone tbh yall gotta understand it was also cold as heck out there and the weather couldve also played a bad part in their performance. Playing in a cold setting like that can affect you naturally.
Joy was the best analyst on the panel. Her point that Burrows had the ball with 2 timeouts and the 2-minute warning and getting no points. Burrows didn't come through.
Ossai played his heart out that game, our offense was blew it big on that last drive all that talent we should have been able to move to ball to AT Least get a field goal, joy is spot on
We wouldve gotten a field goal, had the refs not let the Bills get away with holding etc AND given them a free, extra down....which is against their own rules. Goodell needs to be audited like tomorrow before he hides evidence
Burrow deserves all that blame that shady is trying to put on ossai. Burrow had two turnovers and only 20 points. The Bengals defense held the high powered Chiefs offense to 20 and Burrow couldn’t get 21? Ossai isn’t get paid big bucks either. Ossai played out of his mind and was a major reason y’all were even in the game. Look at Burrow his two turnovers and two ints for the reason y’all lost.
@@WellWhyNot-lj8uf the o line is bad. You can't so nothing when d lines in your face within 1 second. But you're a mahomes glazer. Football nuance doesn't exist to you
Yeah I agree they had so much time to make something happen an they just wasted the whole drive. People They wanna take shots at ossai but don't say a thing about a stacked offense who can't make a play against a rookie heavy defense in the 4th quarter of a title game
The problem is everyone talking about a stacked offense but it don’t matter when a defense is on your qb in less then 3 secs can’t pass if can’t get open in time
Agreed, She paid her dues. She has good takes most of the time. Shady is Garbage and never knows what he's talking about. Acho has become full of himself since Wiley left so his takes aren't as good or grounded as they us to be
Totally agree, Joy is awesome she is the closer. I disagree that Shady is garbage and Acho is full of himself, however, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
@@darnelllarryscott7032 Joe B. can't hold Patrick M.'s jockstrap. He folded under pressure of the Chiefs defense. 4 quarter 2minutes left, 2 timeouts and the so called great Joe B. could not move the ball 50 yards to get a field goal, Yeah NOT SO GREAT in the moment that counted. He is going to be a star -superstar quarterback in time, but one thing is for sure, he will not be a legendary quarterback ever(as some keep trying to make the argument for), because he aint that guy. And that last 2 min of that game showed you that, if you were paying attention.
Yes you can blame it on one play. Oasis idiotic play cost them a chance. Look at the play, he pursued Holmes out of bounds. That ended the OT chance to win.
@@kcorpora1 Joe Burrow Sucks, champions dont make excuses they overcome. Joe B. lost that game for his team because he is not good enough to score win it is needed.
Thank you joy. Everyone was on the bengals offense tip since like week 7. Couldn’t even get a field goal when tied at 20. This team isn’t built to win because of the defense. It’s the offense that has to win these games. You don’t draft Higgins, burrow, mixon and chase to have to rely on the defense.
So nobody gonna mention Burrow throwing 2 picks 🤔 when Dallas lost it was bcuz Dak threw 2 picks but now it's on the defensive player 🤦🏿♂️ They move the goal post every week I see...
Dak has a long history of not getting it done and has never even made a conference championship game. Burrow is only in his 2nd year healthy and has made 1 superbowl and 2 conference championship games. Don't be dense, burrow is miles ahead of dak.
@@_unclecharles_ But Burrows the great could not get in field goal position in the game when it mattered with 2 mins left in the game with the ball. Joy hit it on the nose, should have just said this. The quarterback that all wants to say is better than Patrick M. could not deliver when it mattered. PERIOD
Ossai was the best defender for the Bengals. It was a bad play but you can't blame him ALONE for losing the game because his play throughout the game, kept them in the game. Butker's kick had an extra 15 yards, KC could have still made a field goal.
@@darnelllarryscott7032 Exactly. Nobody knows what could have happened. Even if KC doesn't make a play to get in FG position, or misses the kick, they go to overtime where both teams get the ball. Ossai changed how the loss happened but he isn't to blame for the loss. Cinci as a team is.
@carson Land I feel that it was somewhat a mix of a bad and good play. Like when they said you have to do enough to stop Mahomes, I was like, what? You have to go beyond to try and beat him. If he was only a little bit faster, it would have been a different story. He played his heart out that game and I think adrenaline and the prospect to try and end it with a least a tie blinded him. Thats why I'm more on Joy side that shady. You can't put legit most of the blame on Ossai, yeah, you can put like some of it, but when the offense isn't working out and you have have to depend on you're defense against Mahomes, thats a recipe for disaster most of the time.
Both of those 65 yard field goals made in Arrowhead that was mentioned in this segment, both of those were made by Butker. He's making that FG one way or the other. He ALWAYS does
Shady is right, theres no excuse for that play. Every person in the stadium and the 100 million people watching on tv knew Mahomes was going out of bounds long before Ossai got within 10 yards of the sideline.
I think this is probably one of the better uses of the phrase "do too much". I agree with Shady that any excuse as to what Ossai thought he could accomplish running Pat down is pointless. I respect that Acho doesn't want to fault the guy for going full steam, but Joy has it right. It's putting effort into doing something that doesn't further your chance to win. Mahomes on a worn out ankle is not trying to juke back in-bounds and risk the clock running further. Let me get out of bounds, live to fight another down or force overtime.
At the end of the day football is neither won nor lost on one play, but a collection of plays. If everyone played better they wouldn't have been in that position to begin with
How many times have you seen a defender slow up thinking someone was running out of bounds and they give up a touchdown or extra 20+ yards. None of the blame should be on that penalty. It's 100% on the offense doing nothing with the ball and putting that pressure on the defense to not give up a big play.
I agree. I'm glad no one on this panel questioned whether it was a penalty or not. It was clearly a late hit. I'm sure Ossai will learn from his mistake and come back a better smarter player.
Starting to enjoy this group a little more. At first it seemed like an unlikely group of individuals but now I’m starting to like contrast between everyone and shady is getting a lot better on tv and his personality is pretty good. He was a great addition and I believe he will continue to get better
That play was complete carnage😩Mahomes flew all the way to the bench then knocks out one of the training staff members then 58 hyperextended his leg🤦♂️🤦♂️
You people have to blame. Why? The chiefs were not that good either. They fumbled and lots of other mistakes. It’s over and the Bengals aren’t going to lay down I defeat next year. They will get at least to the division championship again.
I'm a little conflicted LOL I agree with Joy completely as far as saying as bad as that was, he's not the main blame of the loss. The fact that Joe Cool couldn't get anywhere with TWO possessions in the last 5 minutes of this game, is utterly insane. And HAS to be recognized, no matter what happened afterward. Having said that, I also agree with Shady in the egregiousness of that mistake. We later on find out what he was TRYING to do, which actually makes it worse because it wasn't possible LOL we found out that he was trying to hit Mahomes backward so that when he ended up out of bounds, the clock would continue to run because of lack of forward progress. Which makes sense. The problem was, MAHOMES ALREADY PASSED YOU 🤣 HOW did you expect to do that?? Were you just tired and not thinking about the actual MECHANICS of the plan you were trying? It was ridiculous, and he got instant karma doing it because he actually ended up hurting HIMSELF tripping during the shove. It shouldn't have happened, and even though I believe Pat might have been able to make the fg manageable with one more play anyway, it still should have never happened
Bro he actually completed a pass on 3rd & 6 for the first down and the line was called for holding which made it 3rd n 16 and stopped the clock. How could this be on Joe? Go back to when the Chiefs lost to the BUCS and Pat was playing without 3 starters on the line and they got blowed out nobody blamed Pat. The fact that it was 20-20 wit 8 seconds left with ball on 44 makes that a 60 yd kick this was headed to OT if he doesn't late hit. This is all on him
@@bliine I actually wasn't blaming Joe at all. I was blaming the Bengals offense as a whole. A winning team gets points on those drives. The only person who seemed to be TRYING was Joe. And Chase LOL I'm sorry, but that trumps that mistake to me any day. Patty wild have gotten those yards anyway next play most likely. No excuse for the offense the last 5 minutes of that game. None
@@Bakuru I'm witcha my guy but imma give Chiefs defense some credit. No timeouts 8 seconds left they going to OT. I'm putting this on Ossai you can't give up 15 yds right there. He they can call a play that gets 15yds and get out of bounds then ok let that happen
It’s a team sport! No team is perfect. To say a singular player. Just one player caused the team to lose. When in reality there were multiple moments that caused the team to lose
I am a Bengals Fan since 1975. Ossian has been a main cog in our team this year. That game was lossed when we had the ball with 2:30 left and we couldn't get a field goal to win the game. Joy as usual was 100% right. We love our Bengals and for me it is EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Are we going to blame the balls missed by our recievers that hit them in the hands and helmets? We lossed the game mainly, because we've had no Running Game since the last Super Bowl. No Running Game , No Win. Joe Burrows is good buy he can't win a Super Bowl until teams RESPECT OUR Running Game.
How is that on the offense?? Okay they bengals had a chance to win and couldn’t do it. The Defense is supposed to have their back and at least take the game to OT
Does dude deserve blame? Yea sure but he doesn't deserve as much heat as he's getting. Joe Burrow is the face if the franchise and made more mistakes throwing picks and not been able to get down the field to at least put up 3 cost them way more. The punt return that followed was insane too but we just remember the last play that concluded the game. It was a dumb decision don't get me wrong it was just the last straw that broke the Bengal's back
Tough situation overall, and it's pretty much a philosophical conversation in every sense. I agree with Joy, Dave, and Acho.. hard not to have feelings for the guy.
Shady McCoy with correct assessment! If not for that penalty, the Chiefs might not have gotten that FG and it would have gone to overtime. Who know what could have happened? That was literally the dumbest shove in recent NFL history. All the credit in the world to McHommes and what he did with all those injuries on offense. Taking the ball and running with it on one good leg took big balls. Joy's point about the Bengals offense not getting it done on the their last drive was spot on too.
Idk bro shady dropped a good stat only 2 field goals made in arrowhead over 57 yards in history, the chiefs are my squad but I highly doubt he would have a made a 60 yard field goal
So stupid to blame the guy who kept your team in game whole game, won’t blame Burrow or coaching when it came to punt. Punt out of bounds or touchback don’t let him run back! Stupid to blame him like that.
@ LeeTravius Mckay Or not being able to get in field goal range with 2 min on the clock with 2 time outs on 1st down, in a do or die situation. And they keep trying to make out like he is in Patrick M's company of quarterbacks, I think not. And he proved it. LOL
there was a period of time in football when team would run the clock out and go to over time versus throw throw throw and give the other team the ball back. High risk high reward but sometimes it bites you.
Nah, y’all give the QB’s y’all love all the credit so Joe Shiesty gotta get the blame. He threw 2 picks which the Chiefs turned into at least 6 points….but we know what’s going on.
He was so far out of bounds. He was almost on the other side of the white line when mahomes got push, and the chalk is past the Outabounds line. He was so so wrong but apparently we don’t want to give responsibility to people who messed up.
He did mess up: that’s a costly mistake, at any point of the game it happens. He just happened to make a costly mistake at the worst possible time, lol. He doesn’t deserve all the blame for the loss.
This Bengals team was so good. They can make an argument as the greatest Bengals team ever. They learn so much about themselves throughout this season and made a lot of adjustments to get better. I believe that if they started the next season the way they ended this year they could have been 15-2.
Best bengela team was when the year they had plamer, Chad, and tj.. Palmar got hurt first pass of the playoffs that year. They was gonna win the superbowl that year..
This is hilarious that LeSean McCoy is hitching and crying about the defense failing, but is perfectly okay with the "high powered" offense that is LITERALLY the staple of the team, failing their defense over and over again all game.
Look what happened on bengals last drive???? Refs call international grounding when the ball landed almost at an eligible receivers feet?????? Cost the bengals an entire play.....come on man????!!!!!!!!!!!!???
Burrows still had 2 Opportunities to win the game in the 4th instead of getting the 1st down he went and threw a puck looking for the home run. And when he had the ball in the last 2 minutes couldn’t even get a fg and gave the ball back in 40 secs! At least milk the clock so no one can score if you guys can’t score! That’s what Andy always does and bill always milk the clock when you have the ball.
No one in Cincinnati is blaming Joseph Ossai. We love Joseph Ossai. He played an amazing game. Then made a bad mistake at a pivotal point in the game; if not the most pivotal point. Playoff Pratt did not blame JO for the loss. PP was letting off some steam in a situation he thought he was clear of video cameras; which is foolish, in fact more foolish than Ossai's mistake. But, we love this team. The Bengals will win a Super Bowl in the next three years. In fact, the Burrow led Bengals will win 3+ Super Bowls over the next 12-years.
Thank You!!! I love all of them. Win or lose that is my team. My biggest grip since the blown Super Bowl was our Running Game doesn't help relive the pressure on Joe and the patched up OLINE. Almost a year later and we still have no Running Game to get us those 2nd Downs and 3 or 4. Those last 2:40 minutes , Mahones should have NEVER got back on the field, if we chewed up the clock, by running the ball. I believe KC was out of Time outs. With our Kicker we only needed 3 to win. I am from NC and haven't had any ill feelings towards Ossia. His body of work all year has earned my RESPECT! People forget but The Dolphines got blowed out in the Super Bowl the year before they won. The following year they went 17-0. That record still stands. Stay the course Bengals, we beat KC 3 of 4 and twice with Tyric Hill. Semper Fi Bengals!!!!! Always Faithful
I dont blame Ossai for the Bengals loss...however..that free do over play the chiefs got on 3rd down was major....it changed a chiefs 4th and 19 to back to a 3rd and 8.
Thank you, Shady! You the man! We as a nation are soft. So no one can be at fault. It was the D ends fault 95%. You are taught at Pop Warner dont touch a player going out of bounds
Patrick Mahomes in the AFC Championship vs the titans game ran toward the sideline like he was going out, and then tip toed the sideline for a 27 yard touchdown. There's precedent. Gotta make sure he IS out of bounds, but he was WELL out of bounds. They're both out of bounds which is why they BOTH got sent into the bench.
Yes, Ossai didn't have to reach out gor him...but because he did didn't lose the game for Cincy. Yes that penalty put them in position to win but the offence had their chance and didn't get it done. This is a team game.
The bottom line is if it weren't for that penalty they might not have lost. The game would have gone into overtime and they'd have had a chance to win. That penalty tossed that chance out the window.
Lol Shady was awesome "this is what I hate about defense" calls em "dummies" and proceeds to steamroll the segment. And he was totally on point! If he bumped him with his chest, Acho might have an argument but dude's hands were extended in frustration, not containment.
People acting like KC is a total lock to move the ball 15 yards in 8 seconds is clown shoes plain and simple. KC had no timeouts left and the Bengals D had stopped them all game. Shady is 100% right. This is majority on Ossai and I guarantee he knows it
I've been a fan of Acho's and Joy's analysis for a while now, and LeSean and David are great as well. Easily the best NFL talk show out there nowadays.
Mahomes had a hurt ankle as well, did they think he'd cut back in bounds with 10 seconds left? 😂 Bengals' offense couldn't do anything on their last drive too as stated.
Lets face it. It would have been a 50 to 60 yard kick. Chances are they would have missed. That penalty is the reason Chiefs got closer yardage with only 8 seconds left and thus the winning kick. (Which barely made it through, btw). And it wasnt even from a football play. The fact that it was a dirty play. Ossai is 100% the main reason the Bengals lost. Everyone knows it and he has to live with that.
He had to know Mahomes was running out of bounds, you gotta know the situation and where you are on the field. Just a Stupid Dumb Play, and Yes it is 100 times easier kicking a 45 yard field goal than 60+ yards. Oassi owes Bengals fans a heart felt apology
One call that prevented the Bengals from having an extra possession cost the Bengals the game. The PI on #21 which gave the chiefs an automatic first down on a 3rd and 9 play. 21 barely had his hand on the reciever when he swatted the ball down.
Stop blaming one player for the lost, officials for the lost, Cincinnati had the ball with 2 time outs, they put the ball in a QB hand that needed only 13 seconds to win! We all seen this before, if there was no penalty against Cincinnati, Pat got the ball with 8 seconds, he had the will to win! He had 3 choces, (1) a quick sideline throw for 15-20 yards with 2 seconds left kick a field goal. (2) trow a touchdown. (3) take a knee for overtime, not a option. Look at his history, he doesn't lose with the will to win! Stop wit all the mumbo jumbo, please! This QB keeps doing great things like never seen 😒 before!
