I'm beginning to notice it's not about money. No amount of money will ever be enough because we're trying to do something that can't be done. We're babysitting people who can't care for themselves and maintain a modern civilization. I keep my house pretty damn cold, but it's still a higher temperature than the average IQ of Haiti. Why are they not removing rubble by hand? Why are they not working day in and day out to clean up and take care of themselves? They'd rather spend all day in tents doing nothing but receiving handouts than being productive. We have to let it go at some point and let the third world fend for itself. It's not our responsibility to continually provide them with never-ending aid, allowing their populations to swell and ever-increasing the amount of aid needed. It's time we give up and stop.
@@Word-Life Please stop with the condescending attitude. I'm sorry if the opinion presented differed too greatly from your worldview for you to consider it reasonable, but it doesn't mean it wasn't a reasoned and informed opinion. I know how it works. Everyone you disagree with is uneducated, stupid, misinformed, ignorant: You name it. If that person knew better, then surely their opinion would be in a range similar to your opinion, which you find acceptable. Take your low effort solipsism elsewhere.
Well... dear Ross, you could have spared a lot of travelling money and came to Italy as there's people still waiting for earthquake money after 10+ years. You do the math 🤔
Mr. Benoit, I am sure it causes pain Ross to have anyone re-live this moment. He does this out of respect, I would assume. I know exactly where I was when the earthquake hit, and the pain is still right there. We lost many. There is good in the world, and this man's videos will reach them.
Ross - the Haitians need to help themselves rather than relying on foreign governments to do all the work for them. With BILLIONS in aid, that should be enough of a boost to get people working but apparently, it’s their own governments fault, not the rest of the worlds.
