I never thought of singeing off my ear hairs with a torch...learn something new every day. Is there a special kind of berber lighter fluid for that, or will any old Zippo fluid or kerosene do?
do you wanna hear blow dryers and other salon related ambient noise while watching a massage? I am glad the sound is off during this time, but couldve add relaxing music tho.
@JimmyR1rider funny you should say that but george clooney was the face of turkish airlines a few years ago, never could find the link between the two, may be this is it!!
@grizzlyfan41 At the turn of the century(1900) American barber shops did all that except the singeing, and I'm not to sure they didn't do that too. I remember my Grandmother talking about singeing hair. Singeing has probably been around for thousands, maybe tens of thousands of years. Before Katrina I had a barber that gave a scalp massage. Then he used one of those strap on palm vibrators(with large motor on top of hand) on your shoulders and neck.
@CollegeOfHardKnocks Because in the US its all about getting your money and getting you outa that chair as soon a possible. I wish they did that here also
@doobiesmoke15 It's the only way to get it out of your ears. Well, the least painful. Saw a video of some of our guys in Iraq getting ear hair singed. It's great and they all liked it. They just don't do it in this country.
That barber is scary as fuck. There is no way I would have let that guy get anywhere near me with a razor. If I was sitting in that chair I would have got up and bolted like a roadrunner cartoon.
To my understanding, barbers are strictly for men, although you do get the occasional barber who would do girl's haircuts. I don't think men would cut women's hair in Istanbul either.
@CollegeOfHardKnocks Because I don't think as a society we are ready for this kind of pleasure. We are too "macho" and too prideful to be taken care of like this from another man. But I could be wrong, but that is just my opinion......I think i could handle it though.....
