Konsep aku ni dalam ajaran Islam lah, agama lain aku tak tahu. rich is a test, from rich to poor we can call it as both test/punishment. sebab who knows masa kaya apa yang dia ada buat tu salah dari pandangan Allah yg buat Allah murka so Allah tarik balik on the spot apa yg dia ada, so we can call that as punishment, but if let say, orang kaya ni sentiasa baik, betul2 ikut ajaran agama, buat semua yang wajib an etc, tapi Allah nak test dia pulak untuk hilang sementara ape kemewahan yang dia ade, so that's the test. poor is also a test, Allah test dia untuk susah dulu and who knows, disebabkn dia susah, dia selalu dekatkan diri dia dengan Allah, and kita tak tahu apa perancangan Allah untuk dia, so if happen this poor fella get rich one day, here's come the test for him/her from Allah, nak tengok, dia masih sama tak macam masa dia susah, if happen dia masih sama, Alhamdulillah, if dah jadi kaya, lupa daratan lupa diri lupa agama, so maybe there will be a punishment dia semasa diatas muka bumi ni atau akhirat. so conclusion, test & punishment dua benda memang beza, but sometime dia boleh diguna pakai bersama dalam sesuatu situasi.

In islam, we called its as "istidraj", its mean, you r punished by Allah by His giving all kesenangan and kekayaan even you r in a wrong path (as in, you r not following His command). Thats your punishment in dunia, However in akhirat, at the end of the day, youll get the real sick of punishment where u r welcome to hell straight away. I agree with aslem and acap kerinting.
