All the better :) If you'd like more videos to help you with your hubby, then I suggest checking out CS. Joseph's channel (link in description). These videos are based on his 4-sides psychology system, and he's got a huge library of ISTJ videos. Thanks for watching!
Please, please, pleaseeee continue this series. It's extremely helpful and truly the only MBTI content that is helpful in terms of building fictional characters!!!
I have not abandoned you all, I promise! 2020 + 2021 has seriously kicked my @ss and brought with it far fewer hours in the day. I'm still working on the next video, just at a snails pace :( 'tiss what it is, I'm afraid, but thank you so much
I'm an ISTJ but when I watched Twilight I was kinda annoyed by Edward because he was talking too slowly. I got bored and realized I might be the same 😅
I took a mbti test for my main character in the novel I wrote. This outlines her really well. She's a military special ops with genetic enhancements. Fun to try 😊
Your videos show all the sides of the mbti different characters. I personally really appreciate what you do and i hope you will continue doing it. I am enfp)
I am really happy that you are back❤ I really enjoy this series. Is helping me with the story I intend to write. Can't wait for the other episodes. Keep up the great work. (Also I like how you focus on all of the tapes not just the most popular ones like infjs of infps)
Thank you, I'm glad I'm back, too! lol! This year saw my business grow quite a bit and demand much of my time, but I spent so many days daydreaming about getting back to this series! I am having so much fun with it and learning so much as I go. It may be at a snail's pace, but we will get there :) And good luck with your story! I'm so tickled that my work is helping other authors. That's just the coolest thing :) Thank you so much
I'm so glad to have you here! ENTP is next, albeit going slowly, and I've added your vote for ISTP to the tally (bring on the ISTP votes! I wanna do that one, lol!)
Can you do enfp please? I love your channel and I know you're probably busy with stuff and the pandemic but when you do make another one I hope it's enfp. I've been doing my character developments based on Rapunzel, but your videos are just so accurate and helpful! :)
Still hoping for the series to continue! I've come back to these so many times it's embarrassing 🙈 Such great content though!Would really love to see one on ISTP's
This video was great because as someone who plans on having an important ISTJ character in her story, I really needed to learn more about how they act in more emotional situations and close relationships. Especially since I’m making a Deity lol thanks for the insight!
Been watching it over and over as it so matches my interest for a male ISTJ being myself slightly obsessive as a true ENFP haha. Can't wait you do a video about us too. Thanks for all the time you've dedicated. Much appreciated
Lol! Thank you, I like to think so :) but you should know the psychology here is not my own work--these videos are based on the 4-sides dynamic system headed by CS. Joseph (link in description). I just made his work pretty and applicable to a favorite hobby of mine (writing fiction). Thanks for watching!
It's fascination how such a different personality in some aspects to INPT can be so close in other. I watched it to understand why I felt so related to Sagara Sousuke from Full Metal Panic, especialy Second Raid which to me is curiously good take on young introverted thinker burning out under severe pressure from both outside and inside.
I've never seen Full Metal Panic so I will have to take your word on it. I don't get into the jargon in these videos because I want to keep them accessible for people who aren't that into Junian psychology, but your right about there being very similar repeated patterns amongst very different types. ISTJ is often mistaken for INTJ which is often mistaken for INFJ which is so, so often mistaken for INFP.
You are very welcome and thank you for watching! If you like the approach to the psychology in my videos, then you should know that it's not my own work--these videos primarily utilize CS Joseph's 4-sides system (link in description). I just made his work pretty and applicable to a favorite hobby, but if you want more of this sort of thing, check out his channel. Thanks again!
I know, I know :( the pandemic's been kicking my ass and taking up all my time. We will get there, I promise! It might be at a snail's pace, but we will get there!
Cynthia, would you consider doing the enneagram types as characters once you have finished the MBTI types? There are 9 of those types, each with 2 wings, and each with 3 subtypes.
You've just given me more info about the enneagrams than I knew before you commented, lol! I have been meaning to look into them, but my understanding is that the enneagrams are not compatible with the 4-sides model, which is what these videos are based on. I may be mistaken about that, though.
I don't want to be a unicorn, either lol! I'd recommend taking CS Joseph's test online. My videos are based on his system so if something connected for you here, you may want to check it out :) Thanks for watching!
@@cynthiapayne9906 I thought I was ENTP as a teenager, but I've gotten way more introverted/reserved with age. I just don't have the energy I used to and I am also depressed.
I dunno why that happens sometimes. I think it happened in one other video, too. I must be forgetting to hit a button sometimes before I export the video. Sorry about that :)
Entirely possible. I was chatting with hubby about Vader a few weeks ago and realized there is a very interesting opportunity with him. I'm still learning this MBTI thing as I go, and I am not confident enough in my ability to do this yet, but since we have so many decades of Vader at so many different points in his life on screen as cannon I'd love to do a video focusing just on him and trying to figure out where in his four sides he is at the different points in the three trilogies. This video is just based on the original trilogy (i.e. the good one) and, at least to me, he seems a pretty solid ISTJ, but he is an entirely different character as kid Anakin and teen Anakin. Way more risk-taking and SP-ish. It could be an interesting way to introduce the idea of cognitive transitions in storytelling. And it would be. Just. So. Freaking. Cool! But I have to get through this series first, lol! Thanks for watching :)
@@cynthiapayne9906 yeah, without the prequels, a Te parent is understandable. But while the originals are generally better, Vader is always a distant character, his personality left rather mysterious. Episodes 2 & 3 on the other hand, despite their numerous faults, display a wealth of personality information. I think the ESFP interpretation is most popular, but I think that's more related to him having borderline personality disorder (which in some forms looks like extreme Se even when its not), rather than being about type. I see no Fi, instead of sticking to his own values and beliefs, he's a mess of amoral ethics, trying to find the way to please the Jedi, Palpatine, and protect his mom and Padme all at once. This Fe decision making is what causes him to be so chaotic and manipulable by Palpatine. I doubt ESTP because his Ti doesn't seem primary as a judging function. Also, I think his his love for fixing things is a glimpse at the INTP subconscious, where Ti and Ne grt to roam. Episode 3 is basically the ideal ESFJ villain origin story, with him abandoning everything to try and save who he loves most. The one exception iz that they rush him strangling Padme too soon imo. Not that he wouldn't ultimately betray her as well, FJ resentment is a real thing when sacrifices aren't appreciated, but there's got to building towards it, like there is for him betraying the Jedi. Otherwise though, brilliant. I think Vader stews in shadow and demon throughout all the originals. It's a bit overdone, even for a transition (I don't think people typically stay stable in the demon) but for the most part it works.
