Friends, today we will talk about one of the brightest representatives of cluster gameplay, a machine that everyone without exception is afraid of, before you is a Soviet tank destroyer of the eighth level - this is the ISU-152 guide.
As is the case with most tank destroyers, we have at our disposal a very small margin of safety, which is enough to stand in the bushes, as well as a very modest, even frankly small, basic visibility of 350 meters.
If we consider the ISU-152 armor characteristics, in this regard everything is also very weak. We are equally easily penetrated both in the forehead and in the side, the only exception being the impressive size of the gun mantlet, which often swallows enemy shells without damage.
You should also know, this is very important - along the right side of the hull and in the lower left part of the wheelhouse of the ISU-152 World of Tanks there are fuel tanks and if the enemy hits unsuccessfully, we can even catch fire in the forehead.
The situation with mobility is relative. The positive side is that we were given a very decent maximum speed, but the problem is that the dynamics of the ISU-152 tank is weak, and it turns very poorly in place, which is why it’s impossible to spin us around.
Our weapons are exactly the argument that makes everyone afraid of this vehicle, the reason why this self-propelled gun is dangerous for equipment of any level.
The ISU-152 has a weapon installed that requires no introduction - the famous BL-10 cannon, with a huge alpha strike by the standards of its classmates and good damage per minute, which reaches approximately 2560 units without equipment and perks.
The armor penetration parameters of this gun are also excellent, thanks to which there is practically no need for gold here; the ISU-152 tank destroyer World of Tanks fights even with tanks of the tenth level without any problems.
But, as you understand, for enormous combat power you have to pay for accuracy, so this unit has a large, very long aiming and poor stabilization. On top of that, the total horizontal aiming angle of the ISU-152 World of Tanks is 16 degrees (8 in each direction), which is not very comfortable, and also has mediocre UVN.
Advantages and disadvantages
Considering all of the above, everything is very clear regarding our self-propelled anti-tank gun. The strengths and weaknesses of this unit are obvious, but to make it easier to navigate, let's look at their most important nuances separately.

Tactics for playing the ISU-152
It has already been said more than once that due to weak armor, rather large dimensions and limited mobility, this unit can be considered a deserved warrior of the second or even third line.
That’s right, on the ISU-152, combat tactics boil down to taking an advantageous position so that it is as difficult as possible for you to be detected and at the same time you can freely shoot enemies caught in the light.
We have enough penetration to hit even armored targets, but the accuracy of the ISU-152 tank destroyer World of Tanks often lets us down, especially when it comes to distances over 300-350 meters. For this reason, there is no need to rush; if you are not seen, it is better to come to the end, take a shot and immediately roll back in order to reduce the risk of being detected.
