Isuzu Malaysia has made improvements for all the light truck series, including the NLR series (4 wheeler) and NPR series (6 wheeler). The newly launching of an enhanced model is known as the Safety Plus version. The safety and braking features have been upgraded for the Safety Plus version.
In the Safety Plus version there are 4 major safety features that have been added on, first is the SRS Airbag steering wheel for the driver, only a single airbag on the driver side. Second, Anti-Slip Regulator (ASR), which prevents the wheel from spinning on the slippery road condition. Third, the Anti-lock braking system (ABS), prevents the wheels from locking up during sudden brake and maintain tyre grip with the road. Fourth, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), the brake force will be distributed to all sides of the wheel based on the load and bring the vehicle to stop.
An ABS brake pump has been installed on the front part of the engine. This device playing a major role in conducting the function of ASR, ABS brake, and EBD. Abs sensor wire from the ABS brake Pump has linked to 4 sides of the wheel. Each wheel has an individual ABS sensor wire.
