I get to my first one of these tomorrow. Thanks to your video I'm going to look like a genius. All the older mechanics were making a big deal on how hard it is to do that particular service. I guess they don't know about YT. Thanks for video.
That's how the deal shop manual says to remove the ring. The only difference is a special cylinder tool that fits right over the lip is use that distribute the downward force evenly on the rotor, probably to not do any damage to rotor.
Well definitely I have not seen such tool yet if not I would had bought it if its in price range lol, but this tool I build will definitely do the job no problems and very easy I tell you.
bro no need to mess around with all that. just take three or four bolts out that hold the rotor onto the hub and screw some longer ones in. as you evenly wind them in they will push the abs ring off no worries.
At the moment I can't remember but I think the idea of having to get the abs ring out was to be able to get to the bolts under it to then be able to take the rotor out.
Well I say there is 2 types of this rotors one that you can try the pry bars other you can't, but regardless make a tool to work for you not you for it. And this tool I made , it does exactly that.
@@kennyadriankc The 16" wheel truck has shallow rotors, you can pry them out. The 19.5" wheel truck has deep rotors like yours. Far too deep to pry out.
