a lot of people love these vids because it reminds them of their pre teen early teen years but i love them because it reminds me of what my childhood was like and wanting to be a teenager so bad during this era, it’s so nice
I hate when a smaller channel that I love upgrades to a newer mic. While I still like their channel it doesn’t give the same lofi charm as before. Lower “quality” equipment hits different.

There’s always something so good about the background white noise in lofi videos, it’s something ive missed in recent years of asmr with everything being so Crisp in terms of audio.
I was a 3rd year student in 2007 and I used the Maybelline mousse religiously everyday with black eyeliner, half a ton of black mascara and pink lip gloss I got free from Bliss magazine. That was 15 years ago and this video just gave me a wave of nostalgia 😭 Great job Bailey, you can't beat an old style ASMR video!
Yes!!!! The minis from magazines and maybelline were my daily ritual. The grip maybelline had lmao with the mousse, that pink and green mascara, and the baby pore primer dupe!

i like how you actually used the brushes and other tools on the camera rather than just doing it in front of the camera. it made the sounds way more tingly!
EDITED TO ADD: I didn't expect this comment to blow up the way it did, but I appreciate the conversation happening. When I originally made this comment, I used a poor choice of words. When I said this video was "real ASMR", what I MEANT by that is that the ASMR was being produced by sounds/movements you would have in REAL LIFE if someone was doing your makeup. (no one comes up to you and does finger flutters/tongue clicking in real life). This is NOT to say that kind of ASMR is not real - it is for many people! I simply meant that I enjoy sounds and movements that would actually happen in real life. That's it - end of story 😊 Everyone should watch what gives them tingles. The style of ASMR in this video is what does it for me. THANK YOU for letting us get tingles from the sounds of the products as opposed to mouth sounds many do over the products. This is real ASMR! 💕
@@vi.2838 I'm sure many do! To each their own. But they've dominated the ASMR space and it's hard to find ASMRtists that will not do that type of thing every video, especially newer ones. There's a lot of finger flutters and mouth sounds over everything and less of the actual noises an item makes in real life. It's less relatable and less tingly to me, personally. It leaves many of us searching and searching for ASMR videos to watch.
As a designer, your channel's aesthetic is on point. Even if you don't mean it, you coordinate colors really well, from your clothes to the channel art :)

this gave me memories to when i had playdates with my best friend across the street, and she and i would share our hit clips with each other as we did each other's hair/makeup/etc. i lost my hit clips keychain and all the songs that were attached but gosh those were the memories :') that was in 2003, i was eleven.
Am I the only one here who was born in 2007? The earliest memories I have are from like 2012, when we swapped our old beige tv for a new, flat (ish) one. I’ve seen pictures from before that and everything in my house, the walls, the carpet, the couches, were all beige and brown 😭😭
I miss the days I'd meet up with my besties and read girl magazines and do friendship tests and read horoscope in them. And use grape flavored lip balms and wear colorful hair clips.
