I have a USA 1 from the early 90s with 4w steering. My father and I built it when I was 9... I have the new version also with 4w steering, it is remarkable how much the quality has improved but the price really has not gone up. If I'm not mistaken the USA 1 kit cost about $350 and the transmitter was about $175.00 in the 90s. I remember I had to save my money for the entire summer to buy the USA 1 back then. I still take it out once every summer since the 90s. What a great truck.
Let me get this straight. You used a 3s lipo in the losi lmt and got a speed of 32mph. You had to use a 4s battery in usa1 to get up to 30mph. How is that a win for usa1? I think the win should go to the LOSI LMT. You should put a 3s lipo into usa1 and then do a speed run. What does everyone else think?
I have the new USA 1 and it’s awesome. I managed to break a part when trying to do flips, and it broke in a cheap and easy to fix way, so I believe the stress points are well engineered to prevent fatal breakage. I’ve been abusing it and it’s doing well, the body is toast though, and it hasn’t even been a month. I’m loving it, it’s my first brushless.
I used to have the old 90’s usa1 back in the day I’ve always loved monster trucks currently I have the losi. I don’t think either is a bad choice just depends on what is available and what’s sold around you. The losi has a ton of upgrade parts though.
very useful video, I'm looking at the LMT, but now you've made me think Kyosho. I had the original one with the plastic driveshafts that twisted! Happy New Year, and a new subscription 👍🍺🇬🇧
If you've not ordered yet, buy through ANY Hong Kong or China FTAA tax-free zone. We do this in Sydney Australia here for RC models/parts, smartphones, jewelry, etc... In your $USD, you'll save ALOT.........
4s being faster would only be the case if the trucks had similar gearing and kv-rating on the motor. I own the Kyosho (Madforce, not the USA-1) but I think the Losi is cooler as it's much more scale.
Awesome comparison brother! I could see the kid coming out in you the further along in the video you got! To be fair, I would of been been the same way! Very good and fair comparison dude!👍🏻👊🏼🏁🍻
I have both and have beaten the crap outta them I have issues with the losi breaking sway bar end links every time I use it and shocks. I have broken the front axle on the LMT. The USA won I broke the front differential pretty quick. The steering on the USA1 is garbage. I like the fact how much lighter the USA one is. All in all they're both decent at what they do all hobby grade is all about upgrades just pick your weapon go have fun
Great comparison! They both seem pretty capable but the Losi is definetely a little more stable in my opinion. Thank you for sharing and have a great sunday!🙂🇸🇪🇬🇧
The USA 1 is a bit more unestable but, it's a legend, an object of desire and a must have for any collector. The losi, is more stable but it's just a Losi.
Hahahaa... It's awesome that your video came up 1st when I searched "Losi LMT or Kyosho USA1"... Thanks mate, £500 is a heck of a lot of money for me to spend so I don't make these decisions lightly. Any & all info is greatly appreciated. Stay safe out there & best wishes from Scotland 🏴 🙏 ❤️ 📻 🕹️ 🔋 🚗 🚖 🚕 🚔 🚚 🚙 🚘 🚓 🚒 🚑 🚐 🚎 🚤 🚁 🛩️.!
Yes You can run a 4 s lipo in it, I did. Your a bit limited on size/capacity. You can run two batterie’s but obviously not two 4s unless you upgraded the esc/ motor.
That Kyosho has some of the strongest solid axles made to be honest. Before there were crawlers everyone used it’s axles for their custom builds up to 6s and they take it. Definitely bashable if there ever was a thing. Awesome 1/8th scale rig.
Thanks. I did do a video on it but wasn’t very happy with it, I need to get it out again it made a brief appearance in one of the east tactics jump videos. But I need to dust it off.😁
I'd love either tbh but the grave digger is the ultimate monster truck from my youth and looks soo much cooler even in rc form... Great dick about 👍 sorry "comparison" 🤥 very enjoyable all the same 😃
I have the Losi LMT roller. I put a Spectrum Motor and Speed Controler in it and an El Toro Loco Body. I noticed the servo saver came loose twice so I put some Blue Loctite on the screw and so far after two weeks it's still tight. But After watching your video I bought two spares, they'll be here saturday.Cheers.
