OK, grumpy old guy here,first 10 minutes of the video…I got tears in my eyes because the GTO is coming home to Drummonds ,then seeing you with your best friend since you were kids reminds me that I’m also blessed that my best friend of 56 years and I have those same memories. I just built my lake place Last year and doing the finishing touches right now and my best friend Jeff, as we speak is building his lake place just a little ways up the road, you just can’t beat the bond… for you and JC, Donna Jeff Lutz, Jeff Junior, everybody from CRC Edelbrock and all the sponsors that were a part of this to raise money for those scholarships …Y’all did good ,looking forward to seeing what y’all do with it and hopefully I can get away from the busyness here at the lake and go an hour east over to Brainerd and see y’all in August! Fantastic! Roughly the same color as my 69 Chevelle 300hp 350! Painted it 73 Corvette yellow, I could always find it in a parking lot! I surprised many Mustangs and 440 Super Bees! Power to weight ratio was perfect! Merch at Clay McMillan....!

I'm building my last hotrod. It's just a old school 383 with Scat rotating assembly and AFR intimidator heads. I'll be putting it in a 84 El Camino with a 700r4 good for 650hp and a carbon fiber rear end 3.73. My brother and I used to run a 76 Chevy truck and beat Camaros every day and all it had was a 305. This video reminds me of why I'm building it. To sit with a bigger family now and talk about cars and how much fun they truly are.

I heard that if you do an online search for 1970 Chevelle 454 with LS engines, there are a lot in NJ, and they actually show some in NY Ct and PA also . Garage kept and also some semi nasty ones too. Just a thought. There were a bunch of Auto Plants in the area back in the day, and workers had dibs with employee discounts, direct from factory in the 60's and 70's on any of their products, even ones not made at their plants. Detroits and Arlington Texas also, where Chevelle was made during that time. Pat Musi (Great ex NJ legend) has a lot of friends still there. Worth a shot. I got all this info from a friend who was looking for a cowl induction hood for his 70

Well we just got done painting a 68 Chevelle that’s not a true super sport but it is badged and made to be a super sport and it’s got 454 in it automatic and I think the engine might be slightly built but it’s a super nice car and I’d rather have the GTO honestly lol

If it wasn't so darn far away and difficult to get registered here in the UK, I'd definitely have bid on that car... ;) And I'd let Clay drive any vehicle of mine, because I trust Clay to do the right "if you bend it, you mend it" type thing (and probably put sightly better bits in while mending it).
