In New York state you can't buy a new oil furnace or boiler electric heat only. I'm right with you. If the shtf figure out how to get here. We are very well prepared

I think people go to one extreme or the other - nothing will happen, or I have to have years of food etc. to survive. I am not a prepper, just preparing using some (hopefully) good common sense. For example, power outages may last for a bit of time - folks listen to the gubment and think their food is ruined if the freezer of fridge is off for 5 or 6 hours. Simply not true. I went through a power outage back in '98 for three-four days. Fortunately I had just purchased a gas powered generator several months earlier, and so we had lights, TV, freezer, fridge the whole time, by alternating the power - fridge, a couple of hours at a time, freezer a couple of hours at a time, etc. I have multiple ways to cook food that requires no power from the utility companies. I have can goods (which will not expire regardless of what is printed on the can in my lifetime), meats, vegetables, stews, soups etc. Lots of flour and pasta and sauce in jars (just like you would can). I say all of this not to brag, but simply to say I live in a very small house and can have 6 months or more worth of food in a relatively small space. I also moved into the country a couple of years ago to get away from the city, and could hunt or fish as needed to put additional food on the table. You might not like eating chili or soup or stews for days at a time, but you will survive. Cheers!

It never hurts to have some hand tools and some canned and dried food on hand. A nice compound bow comes in handy too. Good boots and clothing, and endless list really.

They are coming for our “way of life and beliefs” and to destroy our roots. Our own government has failed its rule following law abiding citizens and has done so intentionally. More suffered from the treatment than from the illness. Sad isn't it. Preparedness. I can go a month or two. Look into a sand point well for your property. I know here the water table isn't that deep. Water is key to survival. If you do have a sand point well keep it under wraps. Water is definitely one thing "they" will want to control. Most "survival" food is high carb junk, choose wisely. There are some good ones that actually have meat in them.

I totally agree with you about this pandemic bullshit! I confess I did go along with the jabs in the first instance, but the last two years have turned down every invite. I concur we are all heading for digital currency. It is so ducking awful! I think your ideas are sound, and I would not trust any government of any colours! We are mostly not prepared here. The reality is many are so far in debt ( credit cards ) they cannot afford to properly prepare even if they wanted to and saw the forthcoming necessity . Compare take home pay with inflationary prices and opportunistic greed . Often health care expenses alone can keep one in debt especially if you are a certain age . " They " know this . " They " engineered it to be this way . We are headed for trouble , economic trouble especially , and there seems to be very little most can do about it . 🤷🤦 If I am wrong , educate me .
