at 24:00 you talk about pre conditioning ... at this point it's not for climate control but for the battery. it means that if your car is at 50% SOC and you have set your max to 80 % SOC it know that it will have to start some hours before your depart time... that is to keep the battery ready and warm at your time.

Yes the Adaptive Cruise Control/ Active Cruise control with stop and go you can get if optioned with the Advanced Driver Assistance Package.

But I got a couple questions for you, do you happen to know if the production model will have the giant front side looking vents just like this pre production model you have there? And also will the edrive40 have the Hans Zimmer sound like the m50 does? Plz let me know and thank you!!!

The production car looks exactly like the pre-prod (check some videos of the cars coming out of the production line). As for the Iconic sounds, they are also available on the edrive40 but, thanks BMW, at an extra cost.

I've been incredibly frustrated with BMW's lack of basic information about this vehicle, with their "customer service" repeatedly directing me to ask people who don't know. Now that you have the actual vehicle on the floor of your dealership, perhaps they have finally divulged info that should be on their website for those considering making orders. My questions revolve around the warranty and range. What is the vehicle warranty? Is it the standard 4 years/50,000 miles? How about the warranty for the battery? Is it an 8 year warranty like Tesla and other manufacturers or is it just the 4 years? Is the battery warranted to maintain a certain percentage of capacity through however many years the warranty extends? The i40 says "about 300 miles" but that doesn't give would-be customers any idea of how far the car can actually go under real world conditions. My particular needs are 230 miles of range with 2/3 at 70 mph and the other 1/3 at 80 mph in an area known for high winds and hot temperatures in summer and cold temperatures in winter. Did BMW provide you with any real world information on range and whether their "about 300 miles" would actually work for my needs?

I would ask your local Dealer these questions for correct information for your market. Over here the warranty is 4 years/ 80,000 KM’s. 3 yr/ 60K no charge scheduled maintenance and yes the battery is under warranty for 8 years/ 160,000 KM’s

To bad I probably have to wait until next October until it’s delivered to me🥺🥺. Is it the problem with semiconductors maybe or is it lazy Germans who work to slow 🤣

This car had 19” wheels. 18’s I feel look too small on it but available. 20’s look amazing but come with only Summer Performance low profile Tires
