It’s NOT a Mudboss!!! It’s a MODIFIED! Soo it’s better than a Mudboss? 

Absolutely opened up a new class, them mudboss guys are going to regret some of their backlash, I may be wrong, but it's a heck of alot cheaper getting this TRAXXAS MODIFIED, than it is for them bodies you have to put together, then the lcg chassis.,ETC. Getting this car will get ya going quick as quick can be!! Next the mudboss guys will be upset that their class was overtaken by the RTR. I give it a couple years and it will be awesome

They are cool Traxxas did a good job!! Just raise the rear body mounts up there is one hole higher you can go and you won't need to trim the body and you can't even notice it's raised!!!

My uncle used to race the real modified at the devil's bowl speed way near Vermont, a lot of power, a lot of banging body panels, but some of the most intense racing I ever watched as a little guy . NASCAR drivers would probably have to wear diapers to even make 5 laps. Sometimes the field was 20 30 drivers in one heat. Childhood memories I will never forget!!!!

It’s funny to hear people say folks are “crying”, it’s the principle. Had Traxxas had the name already and someone else brought out a car with the name, Traxxas would be quick to sue! Salvas Mudboss has been in the dirt oval scene forever, just because you or others say you never heard of it 🤷🏾‍♂️… If Traxxas made a 3d tire insert with the name of one of yours would you not say anything about it? Just asking!

My LHS owner said traxxas is working on a 2wd slash to MB conversion. Including body (most expensive part. No tires), $100.00

It was made for us guys at dirt/clay ovals, so I’m surprised at how well it hooks up on that concrete.

The quay whining didn’t originate the “Mudboss” class…but he did bring it to the Rc world… Mudboss is a full size dirt track race car of such….all sorts of classes that go with it.

Might wanna do your research about this.. Traxxas messed up.. The guy that created the class/cars approached Traxxas to partner up..They never responded, and instead took the idea and released their own version a year later. The original guys had to get the name Trade marked and gave Traxxas a taste of their own medicine.

I don’t know if the name change is from the mud boss guys so much as it literally doesn’t fit into mudboss. They need some new marketing blood. Almost as much as vanquish does. The last 2 vanquish releases when I search for upgrades it brings up STDs and camera lenses. What the actual frick Vanquish.

Traxxas is the one that does most of the crying. They are always trying to sue or bully the little guys. They deserve some of their own medicine.

The fact Traxxas, the company know world wide as crybabies with lawyers on speed dial actually changed the name is more impressive than any of their releases in the last ten years. Because if it was the other way around, Traxxas would have sued the other company out of business.

Every local hobby shop that has a dirt track has stated that these will be their own class. The naming issue was a very large community dedicated to the mudboss builds and class. Traxxas took the name and put it on a car that doesn't even fit the class. Thing of one of your most favorite things, then a big corporate company knocks it off and doesn't even do it correctly. Same outrage happens in all aspects of life.

Not a lot of people know this but, before those kinds of modifieds were built, they had a mud buss chassis. Troyer Chassis. Why Traxxas called it a bleeping Mud Boss is beyond me. Big Block Modifieds back in the 80's that were considered mud buss were a Troyer Chassis. They had Tobias chassis and some others.

Actually seen it today and how it drives. Hobbyshop guy tried to sell it to me. Unfortunately i had to tell him my serpent would eat that monstrocity toy for breakfast on-, and offroad. It doesn't turn at all when accelerating, it isnt fast neighter, and needs from getgo fans as an upgrade. So, nothing special i would say, even with the upgrades it has, but thats me.. Probably need to be a traxxas fanboy to understand whats good about it...

I am a traxxas snob, but traxxas did Salvas dirty.. They spent YEARS trying to work with Traxxas to develop a Mudboss that beginners could buy and race in the Mudboss class. Traxxas never replied, but some years later released a mudboss that couldn't even be run in the Mudboss class. Again, I love Traxxas, but they did Salvas dirty and I hope they get millions from Traxxas. Just a little taste of their own medicine I suppose.

Honestly my lhs still has two and I almost bought because whole mudboss “ box “ is it really going to be collected? Than I have no oval tracks ect , I really do like modified and any real race classes “ than whole passion for RC do I really want support TRAXXS “ I’d have a xxmaxx if I did . So I looked at salvis body’s , I have all aluminum’ HCG chassis from 20 years ago . I bought reflex 14 and grom Mojave , that thing is dog stock though . That’s part why I tempted buy mudboss today anyways, the screening tires😂 with brushless 3s little weight in front I bet SUca will haul . You really should get into joe you have a oval track “

The fact is mudboss has been around for a long time,anyone who is a true oval racer knows this is a modified not a mudboss…Salvas deserves all the recognition for mudboss class and body,if you’ve never heard of it then you must live under a rock,or have no clue when it comes to oval racing

You really can't say much about the Mudboss guys "crying" about anything. Not with the way Traxxas will file "lawsuits" against anyone who prints their name on a product that fits a Traxxas or sells a car with an o ring receiver box or cantilever suspension. That guy thought up a racing class and designed a car for it and named it Mudboss. Traxxas built a different car and stole his name. I didn't know the class existed but from what i heard Traxxas should have never borrowed the name to start and would have sued if it'd been reversed. I don't have a horse in the race. I'm really just shocked as many folks are interested in this as are. This is the last type vehicle I'd ever buy. I'd think if Traxxas built a LMT competitor or finally sell a real buggy like the Typhon they'd sell more of them than something like this.

The name was misleading and people were showing up at tracks with a chassis that they couldn't race. Crying you say?! Track owners didn't want consumers being confused and upset. I mean, Traxxas was using a name from a class with a specific set of rules that this kit did not adhere to. And, the name change is NOT the result of legal action as some have suggested.

the whining and crying had nothing to do with it. Salvas snagged the mudboss trademark before traxxas could. The Law made traxxas change names. Great car regardless of that.
