It’s official CTMH and Stampin’ Up! have officially come to an agreement with the collaboration of the two companies and made an exclusive joining offer to all current CTMH Makers.
Makers who Join in April 2024 will be offered:
*A discounted Starter Kit for $25 USD/$30 CAD.
*The opportunity to join at Bronze Elite and not retitle until 30 September 2025. (They can advance to a higher title as they meet requirements.)
*A grace period for the quarterly sales minimum in 2024-we’ll waive it until the first quarter of 2025.
*Able to sell exclusive items through their site in May & June.

You have done a great job explaining how the In Colors work. I will add one thing you may or may not know. About every 5 years SU will do what they call a color refresh which will affect the entire color line. They will remove some colors and bring in either brand new colors we never had and they will bring back popular retired In Colors. This keeps the whole color line fresh and current to trends. The last color refresh was in 2023. So if you buy any of the retiring In Colors, hang on to them. They may come back. For example, Lemon Lime Twist was a retired InColor and it came back. Bubble Bath was a brand new color. Look for the next refresh around 2028. When they do this, they sell a bundle of the new ink pads, card stock, markers etc.

FYI-CTMH normally gets SEVEN new colors each year, including their Color of the Year, which is a featured color. Last year’s newly introduced colors were: Journey (which is the Color of the Year), Rosy, Royal, Jade, Limeade, Pumpkin & Acorn. HTH clarify the way CTMH has been introducing new colors for years. One of our amazing CTMH Makers put together a multi-page HEX Code chart with the CTMH colors & the SU Colors (hoping she’ll update it with these brand new SU Colors). It has been amazingly helpful to visually see what SU colors those of us CTMH Makers who are moving over to SU need to get immediately. Your chart is also very helpful. Thank you very much for putting it together for us!

SU provides the hex codes too. I'm not very tech savvy so I don't use them, but I know they're available. 😊

I have used SU products along with other brands since the early 2000’s and never « retire » anything, lol! Colors get revived and changed every few years but it’s wonderful to go through my stash and find old favorites! Hope you enjoy the products!

We were told Stampin’ Up! purchased the patent for CTMH ink pads but it wasn’t in the near future to switch over, could take over a year. It is an investment so I totally get being hesitant to buy them right away.

Actually, in addition to Close to My Heart's annual Color of the Year, it annually introduced about 5 new colors and retired roughly 5 old colors. It's new colors stayed on, I think, for much more than two years.

Love a few of CTMH colors! Do you know if the Makers are joining SU directly under SU? Or are they allowed to pick a Upline? Just so many scenarios going around.

CTMH makers can join under our original up line or we can choose a new up line from SU.

They purchased patents/rights to items from CTMH and will be offering scrapbooking items later this year with the goal of launching them this September. The most recent video from corporate indicated by September Stampin’ Up! should have workshop kits similar to what CTMH offered. 😁

Stampin’ Up! hasn’t specified yet all the page protectors they will carry. For sure it will be the ones for the D Ring style albums but it’s possible they might want to continue the strap bounds one too. We won’t know until later this year.

So, If I buy a Stampin Up ink pad of its new color this year, basically its only good for two years! Sorry, but I just can't afford to buy ink that is not usable after two years.

Just the "in-colors" are available for 2 years. It's very similar to CTMH's color of the year, but they introduce 5 new colors.

Yes, they would change up colors annually too to keep the color pallet current and fresh.

Yes, CTMH retired colors annually, usually 4-8 colors each year, as they brought out replacements & refreshed the color palette. In recent years, we've seen a trend to warmer shades vs. cool tones. Example: Rosy replaced Raspberry. Limeade (new) is quite similar to Sweet Leaf. Honey Butter is warmer than Canary, etc. Thank you, @CraftDiva45 for your wonderful, informative video.
