I only watched this series in 2024 and my goodness, what a brilliant body of work!!! I loved this take on mental health issues due to childhood trauma. The protagonists experienced different types of traumas that shaped their world views and how they respond to situations. Most importantly, it was refreshing to see how broken souls found healing in each other as they were able to empathise.

yeji is soohyun's best on-screen partner, periodt.

Finally a strong female lead! I was kinda bored with the usual innocent- puppy eyes-need to be protected type of female lead.

I read somewhere that Hollywood was starting to look at Seo Yea-ji for roles but the problem is that actors act according to what is written on a page. The reason It's Okay to Not Be Okay was so great is because it was written that way. A great actor can't save badly written material. A decent actor can perform better with well written material. The reason this series was so great was that first it was written that way. We understand the characters and their behavior and emotional underpinnings because the writers allowed us to. We could see why they fell in love and what their love did for each other. That understanding is a product of great writing. Something Hollywood is lacking in.

Their first and last kiss would be the sweetest and purest kiss I've ever seen on kdramas 🥺💞

It was not an easy drama to portray and pour out emotions through expression, you also have to give 100% in your body language also. In human healing drama's it's not easy to act on, but they did their best...and I'm so proud of them. I hope that they will achieve more in their coming life. And I really wish to watch them in another season (2nd season) of IOTNBO or in some other drama as the leads. Hope for the best❤️

She sees Gang Tae not because she's lonely but because she sees him. The strongest emotion is the need to be understood and to know someone in the world sees you for who you are. As an child and as a adult he spends so much time wearing a mask and bottling up his feelings. That he is always about to explode. She gives him a place to release the pressure even when she doesn't understand.. And yet she is still fragile and a little lonely girl. In a way they are teaching each other how to live in the world..

I finally decided to give this drama a try and I am so glad I did. I loved the mini stories and characters especially the behaviour of the lead actress. She challenged the stereotypes. Also that first kiss I did not expect after all the fake outs 😂.
