Looking back, I think not having Timber really hurt us this season. We haven’t had a comfortable LB in that position all season. I just hope we can keep it closer than last season, then make some positive signings in the summer

Agreed. This defeat is on arteta. Partey is that player that can improve team output and efficiency with early forward passing and intricate movement. Arteta doesn't get it, like not grasping Zinchenko is a colossal liability unfiting of the team nor is Havertz a midfielder ffs. Thank you Arteta for not knowing your job.

That's why we need a better manager. Casts out quality for shoddy replacements. Partey is that player who takes us up a gear, pushing forward with penetrating passing and quality movement & retention whilst operating in a phone box. Partey's absences are main reason last season's fluency & flow are still lacking.

Odegaard for Smith Rowe was diabolical. Playing both havertz and jesus and leaving nketiah as the only impact sub was amateur. Martinelli on for 20mins and not once did they try to exploit the pace over the top. Bailey comes on for diaby and to not change zinni for kiwior was criminal

Genuine Arsenal fans knows Arteta can only make us compete but can't take us across the finish line. He always panic with either his team selections or tactics during crucial games and he's not learning from them. The title is easier for us to win this season than last because Liverpool took points off City unlike last season but Arteta will not be able to take advantage of these points trust me, I have seen this cycle over and over again, Even in Wenger's latter years with us. so true, this guy speaks fact. No commitment, no hunger. These player are happy to be top 4, same as the baby gunners 15 years ago. They just have zero belief. Odegaard was the only guy in the pitch that was ready for the fight. When you see the post-match declaration from Rice its just abysmal. Incredible player, but mid-table mentality.

Winning man of the match dictates Smith Rowe is ready to stand in for Martinelli. If Arteta hasn't grasped Zinchenko is a colossal liability then he never will. Denying Partey time amounts to leaving your most dangerous weaponry at home as you step out for battle. These aren't the traits of a title winning manager. We need better. How many botched titles before the obvious sinks in!?!

Yep, Manchester City will be the EPL champions again after Arsenal's humiliating performance against a well-organised and determined Aston Villa under Unai Emery. Arteta took the wrong approach, and Aston Villa unquestionably deserved to win. What surprises me is that Arteta also makes incorrect subs. Although Kai Havertz has performed well in recent matches, this one was not for him, and Arteta should have known and made a change rather than keeping him on the pitch. Arteta should have considered defending instead of winning in the 80th minute because Unai Emery was there to cause an upset, which they did. Arteta bears responsibility for the loss. Another season without a trophy, and I do not see Manchester dropping any points from now on. And most likely, we will drop more points now and even lose to Bayern Munich in the second leg of the UCL. Well, good luck to Arsena. Gunner for Life!

Let’s be honest, Arsenal never stood a chance with this run in. We would have had to be perfect against city and not drop points. But if we didn’t drop them today it would have happened at utd, Chelsea or spurs. Even wolves.

People are nuts to win all 7 would make a record in the prem to win 17/18 games is so rare. We were always dropping points before the end of the season. City will draw at least one game we have to be perfect from now on.

It’s only Arteta to blame for changing the formation. If something it’s not broken don’t try to fix it! After this I can only see us crumbling out of champions league on Wednesday and finishing 3rd! I hope I am wrong! But that’s typical of Arsenal we hardly bounced back after unexpected crucial defeats.

Well, I am a city fan I still think the title is not yet done. Arsenal and Liverpool both still have chance to win it. But the big question is how both teams going to react in the next games. 2 points 6 games to go, still anything is possible. City also got some tricky fixtures in Fulham and Tottenham away. And not to forget brighton.

@@steffanh9368Arsenal are obviously out of the title race considering the fact that they have still to play Man Utd, Chelsea & Spurs. They will drop 3 or 5 points from these 3 games. Liverpool are the only team who have a realistic chance of winning the league. Man City will drop 2 or 3 points in the next 6 games. Mark my words....

@@steffanh9368 Form is a bit of an exaggeration. Liverpool is playing good football. The problem has been them being wasteful in front of goal. They should have won their last 2 PL games comfortably by 5 goals and that isn't an exaggeration. They are creating plenty of quality chances but the problem is Salah & Nunez aren't being ruthless enough, especially Salah I don't know what happened to him. Man City are suffering the same problem with Haaland who has been very wasteful. Difference is that Man City share goal scoring responsibility. Klopp has to fix that immediately....

Robbie delusional af every season making excuses for them every time I'm an arsenal fan and I fed up since 2003 merchandise every season and not getting results it's like I supporting a club for charity tho all the time so I tired we from barbados have had enough and disappointment starting to become a habit stupse they getting worst and I believe the fans should abandoned games till they step it up

I said weeks ago City were going to win - you could see that just by looking at the run-in. This ‘crumble’ was always going to happen. Also let’s be honest - Arsenal have been outstanding in 2024 but the margins are so tight that one defeat against a very good side is considered a ‘crumble’. Man City, unfortunately, are the best team in the world. Arteta has done brilliantly so far. Got to keep building. BUT also got to bring silverware of some type home next season.
