In that field at the start I expected to see Merry & Pippin to come tumbling out of that long grass, being chased by Farmer Maggot! 🧑🏻🌾 Not surprised that a Cornishman's stomach was upset by a Devon pasty! 🤢 🤣 That was such an emotional end to the video! Massive congratulations to you Tom on such an amazing human achievement, and to you too Izzy! 👏👏👏👏👏
I walked the East Coast, John,o Grotes to Dover. I packed my job in. I decided to do the walk before looking for any more work, so I was in no hurry, took me two months look back on it as one of the best things I have done l followed the coast in the summer.
@@martprice7726 that's pretty much my approach to the coming trek, I'm looking at leaving the rented house I'm in, quitting work if I can't get leave, then just going for it! Nothing more cathartic than casting aside all encumbrances!
I've watched this whole series and you've been amazing, Tom! All that you've gone through, the highs and lows and all those noodles and couscous. From my armchair, it's been really entertaining and inspiring. Isabel, well done to you too and I love your enthusiasm! Can't wait to see what's next for you both. x
Any words are inadequate for what you have achieved. Not just getting from John O'groats to Lands End but the route you took. Very very well done Tom and Issy for your important support. Hope you both have a good rest and recovery, WOW!
Tom & Isabel, congratulations, especially Tom on your achievement! I'm 77, but felt excited for you as you got near the end of your walk. Very well done! You deserve a really good rest now.
Just watched your final push to the end of your walk from John O Groats to Lands End. Thankyou for sharing - loved watching you through your struggles with such grit & determination. Fantastic. Enjoy a break give your bodies a rest. God bless you both.
Hi Tom & Iz. From the Emerald Isle, may I congratulate you both on a mammoth achievement. Well Done Tom on having traversed the John O’Groats to Lands End walk. You’ve done yourself proud mate and to you Iz, well done on your achievement. Rest-up and recover, there are many many other odysseys to contemplate. Love you both. ❤️🇮🇪 Jim
Congratulations Tom. 🎉 I don't know how you did it, especially after wasp gate. Glad Izzy was able to accompany you for some of the way. Welcome home. 🌊🌊🌊🌊
An outstanding achievement Tom, especially as you didn't take the easy route! And well done to Iz too for pushing you over the line over that last month or so. A walk that was an emotional rollercoaster at times, but a lifetime of memories for you both. Fantastic 👏👏👏👏
Well done guys!!! And thanks for sharing your journey with us over the last couple of months 🙂 It seems always to be the most difficult just before the end, but you pushed through and made it!
That’s a brilliant accomplishment well done to you both. Tom,as I said at the beginning of your walk, it’s about the journey and the amazing adventures you’d have along the way. Not the destination. I’ve watched all your videos even before this challenge and you have been very entertaining even when you’ve been experiencing difficulties there’s magic and chemistry between you both that brings a smile and a laugh to me while I watch you. Have a wonderful break enjoy your Christmas and maybe we’ll see you both up here in Bonnie Scotland for Hogmanay. Thanks for sharing and taking us along for the ride. 👍😊
So pleased to see you both through to the end - what an achievement! I've watched every episode, some of them while I was quite unwell this summer - not only have you done something amazing, but you've spread a whole lot of happiness by sharing these lovely vlogs with us too🙂
Wow! Huge congratulations 🎉 I have been on your journey from the comfort of my home & have held my breath so many times on your adventure😂 thanks for sharing. I hope you get a good rest now & some serious spoiling - you deserve it. Well done Tom & Izzy you are truly inspirational👏👏👏
An absolutely amazing trip guys. I can’t believe that you walked for almost 100 days and seldom allowed the weather to defeat you. Well done. Looking forward to your next adventure. Enjoy a break and have a great Xmas.
Congratulations the both of you, a huge achievement, not only the walking but the videoing, editing and posting of the story. Absolutely amazing how you manage all that and keep so positive. I'm sure having lz not only along for some crucial parts of the trip but always having your back makes a huge difference and it's heart warming to see two young people so in tune with each other, their friends, their families and their life goals. Well done both and best wishes for whatever you decide to take on next
Wow! Well done to both of you, but a special well done to Tom. You're a gladiator of trekking and wild camping my friend. Have an amazing rest. Much love to you both.
Absolutely incredible!! Well done both of you. What a journey. When I go walking there are a few hills and all the way up I chant 'Tom and Izzy, Tom and Izzy'! Thank you so much for sharing - at times it has been a very difficult watch. I do hope you are completely relaxing and letting your bodies fully recover. Heavens, well done! Respect!
Epic, long haul, Tom! Congratulations on this tremendous achievement! And congratulations, Isabelle - you are so strong! It's been wonderful to watch this journey beginning to end! You both really had to dig deep, and seeing you find the strength and commitment was truly inspiring. Bravo! ❤😊❤
Huge congratulations to both of you for a huge achievement! Not only overcame very challenging terrain, distance, kit problems and health setbacks, but you were also faced with some of the worst weather we have experienced in a long time. All extremely heroic and displayed an amazing determination. I must also remark on the incredible videos produced by Tom. How he manages to handle the drone and cameras is beyond me ... and then he somehow does some fabulous editing in generally pretty primitive conditions. Let's hope you continue your adventures and share them with us, but whatever you decide I hope you have a great future and giving me, for one, a regular lift in spirits in a not very inspiring world. 😄
Well done, you absolute legends. Such an amazing achievement. It was so lovely watching you walk through North Devon. I grew up near Bideford, went to College in Barnstaple and used to cycle along the Tarka Trail as a kid. I live in Australia now. Really should take a trip home soon.
Well done Tom and Izzy. I can’t imagine many people have taken such a scenic and tough route for the John o groats to Lands End journey. An amazing achievement. To carry the camping equipment and everything else all that way must have been so heavy. Something you can always look back on. Hope you have given your legs a rest since getting there! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Well done Tom (and Izzy) on reaching Land's End. We've really enjoyed being with you all the way. Just the walking would be a great achievement, but to do so while producing excellent videos and entertaining commentary is even better. Enjoy a well earned rest and we will look forward to following your future adventures.
Congratulations on an epic trek and thanks for taking us along. I know you were exhausted when I met you two days from the end, so really great you made it. 🙏🙏
You inspired me to cross solo Dartmoor south to north. Was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Thank you so much for sharing your journey and congratulations for achieving something absolutely incredible
What an incredible achievement congratulations. It's been an amazing journey you should both be proud. Thanks for bringing us along on this incredible adventure.
Very well done Tom and Isabel; what a brilliant series and amazing achievement. Your determination and resolve have really come across over the journey, massive inspiration!!! You should both be very proud in yourselves. 🎉
Fabulous stuff, congratulations to you both, but especially to Tom. I've walked a lot of that SW coast path, and I can tell you that they aren't joking, it's a killer both physically on the knees (steep ascent then steep descent ) but also on your mind too. I've loved the series, can't wait to see what is next!
Congratulations guys, that’s an amazing achievement for you both, thank you for the videos, keep it up! So refreshing to follow people so in love with our natural surroundings 😊
Epic mate, absolutely fantastic, nothing but congrats and respect. Well done indeed. Thanks for taking us along, time to put your feet up. Once again, well done indeed. Big, big thumbs up from me and wishing you all the best for the future. Dave aka wackyswanderings
Congratulations on such an awesome adventure!! We completed Te Araroa in NZ in Feb this year and have been struggling with getting back to real life, so having your videos to look forward to has been good for the soul… thank you 🤩 We’re now planning a JOGLE for when we come back to UK 😂
You did it! What a journey mate, honestly felt emotional watching you approach the end. I think everyone should take on a grand adventure at some point in their lives. You've done yourselves proud, what an incredible achievement. Lots of love from us xx
What an amazing journey! Tom, much of your solo walking looked so tough, what an achievement. So disappointed we didn't see you on the North Devon section. We only live a few hundred metres from the Tarka Trail near Instow.👏👏👏
yeah i think i was utterly broken by the end, just focusing on finishing it, but on the plus side i really enjoyed North Devon so think we will be back soon
Thank you Tom and Isabel for having me along on your journey, I've enjoyed watching you and it's an absolute credit to you both for such a staggering achievement. If we ask nicely, I don't suppose you could have a last video on your final thoughts and recovery process. Thanks - Nigel in Tasmania
Well folks delighted to catch up with ye again brilliant that ye are finishing the walk and fair play to ye especially Tom ye deserved a good rest and time to relax and as always look after each other and stay safe
Well done tom its an incredible walk . I watched the whole series with interest. I did the same walk this year and finished in July but followed the end to end book more closely and not as tuff as your choices 😊
Hi Tom, Great to meet you on your hitch-hike to Glasgow yesterday (5th) hope you managed to get a good lift from Bristol services! ...and hope you can find that 'camera piece' you were on the way to search for ! Took me back to my hitch-hiking days as a student..in the 70s !.....All the best , Alec (Penzance)
Tom and Izzy, it’s been such a pleasure to be on the journey with you , from the comfort of my settee. What an emotional journey it was and what a beautiful island we live on. I can’t believe how emotional i was when you finally got to lands end. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing fete with us all. Look at the start and end of the videos at how you have changed. Now have a party and a good rest. Well done and thank you.
