Aww poor kid. So much pressure growing up rich as hell with supreme genetics, all the tools, and trainers and food ECT. Bronny James ain't good cuz he didn't put in the work
Part of growing up is realizing that what your parents want and expect for you is not always what's best for you or what you're meant to do and that's okay
He had a lot of options and still chose to play basketball his whole life. Criticism on his skillset is to be expected and even if he is not elite like other prospects he is still pretty good
I don't know what it is, but there seems to be something about average/decent athletes that translates well to developing superstars. I don't watch basketball, but I watch a lot of combat sports and the absolute best coaches always seem to be people that were good enough to compete professionally, but far from elite level. And they train up some absolute monsters.
Hyperbole my guy. The fuck you mean Elite 3pt shooter? To be a reserve? Only a handful of players are considered elite from 3. It's not a common thing. He needs to get to about 36-38% for his position just to keep defense honest at the perimeter. That's called serviceable, hell......I'd even go as far as to say average. So, no he doesn't need to be elite at shooting 3s to be effective. He needs more time to bake in the oven as it stands. Why are we rushing the kid?
@@jeffmarks1506 For PG it's avg. Below avg, avg, and above average are mere points away from one another. Something like 4% either direction. Folks are acting like the league is filled to the brim with 40% 3pt shooters. Enough to apparently fill most rosters on every team. If he can bring his % up to mid 30's, he'll blend in with the rest of the league.
@@trueqiuhan Another misconception: Arvydas did have problems with his knees, but it was an Achilles injury which robbed him of the other-worldly athleticism he had until the age of 20. But to your main point, Domas would not be a disappointment if he was Tim Duncan’s son. He’s great.

@kimalibennett9468 you're right the end was disrespectful. My point still stands, tho. This is just a gradation it's used in rap, poetry, and literature. Like "March, run, fly" it's just more subtle here. If dude said "as a matter of fact" right before "he's the best defender of his class" this would make way more sense.
Bronny never said he wants to play in the NBA. One percent actually makes the NBA. There are 350 division 1 basketball colleges, and over 4,000 athletes. The competition to make the NBA is intense. He’s not NBA material. He’s in a great school and has a fantastic opportunity to get his bachelors degree from a prestigious university.
College degrees don’t mean anything now a days, especially for the son of a billionaire. He doesn’t give two shits about school he is just there to play basketball
He will never have to work a day in his life. I guarantee he doesn't care about a degree. LBJ's bloodline is set for hundreds of years if money is managed properly lol. Lebron currently makes 50mil year. Assume he stays for another 5 years. That's $300mil including this year, alone + whatever else he's made the past 20 years. With just 300 mil and an average return of 7% invested, that's $21,000,000 that 300mil would net him yearly. He's likely close to a billionaire. Nobody born after Bronny in that family will ever have to work. Assume he has 1bil in assets that can be invested, that's $70 mil a year net gain at 7%. That compounds year after year, after whatever you need to live off of comes out of that $70mil. That first million is a hurdle for anyone, but anyone with a million generally will never have to work again with proper investing. LBJ is worth a billion.
bronny isn’t aggressive offensively..his dad was unselfish but still went for 28 ppg in high school ..bronny isn’t even attempting a ton of shots ..he needs to take charge
Thanasis also isn't an nba level player, but that aint stopping him from having a ten year career. As long as lebron is still averaging 25, 7, and 7, bronny will have better job security than a supreme court justice

Hes averaging 5ppg 3 rebounds and 3 assists...on 36% shooting! If his name was Joe Williams Jr, no one would even know who he was. He absolutely wouldn't be getting any buzz about getting drafted. Bronny isn't ready to go pro, and by all rights he should stay in school another year (or 2) to work on his game.
well he should stay in college , but next year is lebron last probably so if bronny wont join nba then they wont play together. so i think bronny will go 2nd round or which is more likely he will be undrafted and maybe sign some 10 days contracts or sum like that >.
He didn’t even start in high school and doesn’t start in college. I don’t see why two years would change him. Everything from his 5 star rating to getting to play at a big HS and being recruited by multiple D1 schools is because of his Dad.
At least Thanisis is the best hype man in the league, that really affects team morale, think about it, his past teammates always turn down the laughs and back him

I can feel already that the novelty will wear off after the first month of games, then Bronny will be in trade rumours by All-Star break and Lebron will finish his career in a weird situation.
His trajectory was high but that heart-attack-like episode that came out of the blue changes a lot, not saying he can’t return to that same arc but it’s highly unlikely in a short window…

These days, kids and even adults don't really care about such matters. People are getting famous from acting stupid on social media or humiliating themselves. So the notion of a guy getting drafted, even though he doesn't deserve it won't resonate. If anything, in their minds, it will validate them and then they can brag and say they're better, simply because they are in the NBA.

Generational farmers, cowboys, cattle raisers, horse breeders… Hell even generational tradesman were a common thing until not that long ago. The kids of the successful today usually don’t have to work as hard unless they luck out and have good (as well as successful in their field) parents who teach/drive properly.. Problem is most times their parents fail to instill any real values and the kids don’t have the hunger or drive their parents did to become successful in the first place.
Bronny really should stay in school an extra year or two to develop. That's the best for him if he wants to fulfil his dream. It cant be about fulfilling his father's dream of them playing together. If Bronny leaves college too soon, he might never really develop the way he would if he'd stayed in college a year or two longer.
I don't think there's an amount of development that would get him into the NBA legitimately. Also, he doesn't really need the education. I'd say just bite the bullet and try to make your Dad's dream happen, then do your own stuff after that one weird year in the NBA.
I genuinely thought I was crazy. I’ve been saying this since his high school career. Then I saw him at USC & I just knew it. But he kept getting media coverage so I thought “am I crazy? Is he actually good & there’s something I’m not seeing?”. Crazy what media can do to you

It’s not just Bronny not being good enough. I think everyone expected USC to be a better program than they are, and when it turns out they’re a mid to low tier PAC-12 team this year, and you STILL can’t outplay the guards on that roster, there’s clearly a problem.
Idk if Enfield’s the issue though. Watching USC play, new coach or not, you definitely wouldn’t replace Collier, and Ellis is giving you 17-4-3 which Bronny isn’t going to give you. I think it’s more a talent issue than a coaching issue.
They're a great program I don't believe it's a coincidence the Bronny James drama is a huge distraction and they end up having a losing record for the first time in the past 4 seasons
At first I thought he could be a Jrue Holiday type of player. Then I watched him in his senior year of high school and thought maybe he could be a Marcus Smart kind of player. And now after watching him in college I hope he can just be a Quentin Grimes kind of player at best.
Bronny needs to focus on being a 4 year player so he can develop at his own pace, he'll probably then have a legitimate chance at being a substantial NBA player! Everyone isn't meant to be one and done!
If Bronny stays for 3-4 years, he has the potential to develop into a fringe NBA player who's in the league for 2-3 years primarily as a backup player. Think Phil Pressey, Kobe Brown, or Kim English.
@@dankhorse69420Look at Austin Reaves. He’s a starter now, no one though he would be in the NBA before his senior year. Barony’s shooting will develop. What he needs to develop is his dribbling. The kid didn't ask for this. Didn't call himself the chosen one. Didn't say that he's the best. He just wants to play basketball. Others are hyping him up and putting pressure on him. He's not his father and that's okay.
Sorry but you’re wrong. Once he declared for the draft and got drafted while clearly not being ready he accepted his father’s handout. Him just wanting to be his own player only works if you earned it. Can’t have it both ways
LeBron constantly overestimating him puts unnecessary pressure on him and also makes him a target. If basketball doesn't work out for him he'll be fine with that generational wealth. LeBron needs to chill on the hype because it's likely getting into Bronnys head and affecting his play

He said in an interview that he had a talk with Bronny about the NBA not being promised for Bronny or for anyone, so keep in mind this is something they talked about. That said, Lebron wanted Bronny to make it because he wanted to play with his son. I think he was realistic though, you just might not have been aware of this discussion.

I mean he’s a freshman coming off a major heart injury. Even before the injury, people that have been paying attention knew he wasn’t gonna be a 1 and done player in college. He has a lot of the intangibles to be a solid role player in the NBA, but was always definitely gonna need more than 1 year to develop in college, and especially so after the heart injury. He only had 2 turnovers in 46 minutes in 2 games against Cal this year tho so not sure how you got the turnover prone takeaway from watching those games lol
shit if he did that people would jump for joy. if the kid averages more than 10 points for his career i'd be happy for him but i don't see it happening.
The reason is simple . Bronny simply just dosent have that DAWG in him , hunger and urgency . Lebron was quite literally in a situation where he was trying to make it out of Akron Ohio trying to better his life and family through the sport of basketball which derived this genuine hunger to prosper and get better that can’t be taught or learned in my honest opinion . But I really can’t blame Bronny himself for not having these characteristics because he’s honestly blessed to be the son of Lebron and not have to worry about these adversities. This isn’t a basketball and Bronny specific case but same goes for many people who spawn into a lvl 99 environment with all the items already there. The fact Bronny had a heart attack and Lebron is saying "I won't leave the NBA till I play with my son" essentially is pretty messed up. The kind of pressure that some parents, especially American parents, seem to put on kids make me glad not to be American to be honest. As much as I love the states, this kind of dehumanising "overcompetetiveness" is scary, especially when it's to the point people are pressuring their own kids to such a degree, it's just depressing to witness.
Like it is possible to get the best out of people without this unhealthy level of pressure. I've no ill will towards Lebron, because this is a systemic issue but man is it messed up. Even more silly when you compare the scale of how much sports means to Europeans (people setting off flares in an indoor basketball court ffs), to how parents at little league games act in the US. Not saying over protective/competitive parents don't exist in Europe, but at most it's a light scuffle, but people pulling out weapons at a children's sports games in the US (and more than just a few times) is fucking insane.
That heart issue 1000 % derailed Bronny’s chances. I wouldn’t run the risk of him having another incident on the court. Bro should just enjoy playing all four seasons in college and just be involved with the game in other ways. He can work under rich paul and be an agent or something.
@@BiggieTrismegistus The problem is that usually this kind of thing is a career ender. Combine that with the timing of this, it's difficult to see an NBA team willing to take that risk when they have plenty of other options. He's not forbidden from playing in the NBA, but it's just another reason to choose someone else, particularly as he isn't exactly setting himself apart from the others.
I can’t even begin to imagine having a heart attack on the court in college and being drafted the next year. Please give Bronny 2 more years to get his confidence and talents refined. It will be special to see him being a piece on a championship squad.
Lmao Bronny went from a “best player in the country, NBA lottery pick” to “maybe he’ll be a good piece for an already built Champ contender” 😂😂 you Bron stans are so delusional. If Bronny was that guy you’d have seen the spark in him at least once in the 10+ years we had non-stop coverage of the kid. Even a casual non-sports watching observer would have seen it, it’s the “IT Factor” and Bronny clearly doesn’t have it. In the history of sports when you have a MJ/Bron level player, it’s extremely unlikely for the son to be anywhere close to their father, why? Because their father is THAT special, otherwise they wouldn’t be in GOAT conversation. It takes gift from God to be that good, and just being the son won’t be enough. It takes god gift and the hard work. You people are so delusional just be honest and say kid is trash.

@@kevinaldo69 Look at your phone. Did it make itself or was it created by someone? You didn't see it being made and you've never met the person or people who made it but yet you know with 100% certainty that it had a creator. One cell in your body is infinitely more complex than a phone and your body is made up of 100 trillion cells. It's statistically impossible that happened by accident as evolution claims. Creation is absolute proof there is a God. You may not be aware of that fact but it's a fact nonetheless
@JohnnyTsunami5666 points 3ast and 3rb. And plays good defense. He’s not NBA ready yet but for yall to say he’s not close to good is pure hate. USC is high level D1.
I am soo glad that someone has made this proclamation publicly. Unfortunately Bronnie James “IS NOT” NBA caliber talent. He’s a good kid as is his brother Bryce whom isn’t as good a player in high school as Justin Pippen, Alijah Arenas or Kiyan Anthony the sons of Scottie Pippen, Gilbert Arenas and Carmelo Anthony. Neither of the James boys are exceptional players, not even average for their current level of play. The pressure must be really tough for them per it’s perhaps expected that they play.
Lebron should tell the Lakers that they should draft his son late. Bronny should take a minimum class load at USC to maintain his student status because he will need the degree, but play in the NBA for a rookie contract.
Its a height thing also... LBJ is a taller, bigger player and has been since high school. The height genes didnt transfer to Bronny. The Nba isnt fair. You either have to be as good as Curry or Kyrie or you gotta be big like Giannis, LBJ or Wembynyama. Its just how it is
Le'von Ball wanted kids to play in the N.B.A , so what did he do? Married a 6 foot ball college basketball player. In his words he wanted a big "chick" to breed with. Dell Curry married a volleyball player. LeBron married a regular chick, not increasing his chances of producing star athletes.
Curry is a 6’3 strong athletic PG and light years better than all the 5’7 fans that identify with him. You need height and extreme talent just to make NBA let alone be a star
In the age of social media, a mediocre player with a huge following is more valuable than a "better" player without any followers. The NBA teams are brands and their main goal is NOT to win it's to make money...
Hit it right on the money . Everyone talking basketball when it's literally about money . Comments saying he doesn't belong in league when you can go to every roster and name at least 4 guys on team who don't belong there.
