I second that emotion heartily. I often think how lucky they are to have each other. I have seen videos where Elizabeth unabashedly declares her love for Nicki! I also love any episode with Elizabeth and the girls because she is such a loving mother to her little girls and so conscientious. It's just a beautiful thing to watch.
Carlo, your tribute to your job at the cemetary and those who reside there, well, it was absolutely beautiful! No matter the mistakes, your kind and very caring heart shines through.
Wonderful video ….thank you both, I fear you will miss this beautiful city, and all those wonderful steps that keep you so slim and beautiful, but no adventurous. I loved CARLOS, his beautiful speech about his origins and work and gratitude.
I appreciate that Carlo works so hard to speak in English and to do the voice overs. I love hearing his beautiful accent. This was a wonderful video this week😀
All I can say is thank you for another beautiful tribute to your friends, family, your town and Carlo’s past profession. No matter if he speaks in Italian or English, it’s from his heart. Great editing Nicki!
Carlo’s thoughts about his time at the cemetery felt very special. So heartfelt. Wonderful of him to share in English when sometimes he feels not equipped to do so. He should not fear it - he does well!
Don’t get frustrated, Carlo! It is so difficult. Most people can’t communicate in more than one language! You are challenging yourself and you are doing so well!🎉
Carlos little chat about the cemetery was just so touching, his respect for his townsfolk and his appreciation of life is so heartwarming… this vlog just brightens up my day!.. Thank You 🥰
Carlo's beautiful thoughts about valuing life precisely because he worked so long with the end-of-life experience. That's why he is a special person who knows how to enjoy life.. Nicki is an excellent recording director!!!👏👏🥰🥰
Kudos to Nicki, a patient and loving person, and to Carlo, a brave, courageous and also loving man. Italian is a beautiful language. Let's hear more of it! 😊 Great video, as always!
Love the new intro! Carlo’s beautiful testament to his work and the honour and privilege he felt when taking people to their last resting place had me in tears, then watching the recording of those words had me smiling and laughing - thank you both for the work you do in sharing your life and that of the Positano community with us every Sunday.
Carlo’s commentary at the end made me emotional. So true Carlo about learning from the dead. 42 years is a lifetime and you faithfully tended to those loved ones’ graves as a calling. Well done for your efforts to speak a foreign language. I speak fluently two languages myself but I cannot imagine learning Italian and speaking it to thousands of people.
Beautiful. Please never stop having Carlo speak Italian. I know the subtitles are a hassle to edit in but it's Wonderful to hear and hopefully we non Italians can pick up some Italian. I enjoy it. I also appreciate it. Love you all. You have inspired me in positive ways. I now have my own little garden that I am growing in size this year. All because of this channel! Thank you for sharing your life with us.
❤❤❤I had the great privilege of visiting positano for my first time in June 2023 with my two sons…it went so lovely mostly due to your channel…thank you…may you and all of Positano have a peaceful, cozy & restful winter. Con amore, Diana ❤❤❤
Carlo made me tear up. Beautiful comments and sharing his feelings. I too worked 42 years at my place of work which I enjoyed. It has been 4 years for me enjoying new adventures . Enjoy your week.
Like all who’ve commented before me: the new opening is wonderful. I’m also noticing just how vivid the videography is throughout your beautiful video. I appreciated the many topics and scenes. I was especially touched by the community inclusiveness and Carlo’s return to the cemetery. My advice-take it or leave it-any such narration from the heart is best stated in the mother tongue. The first to appear when we are in the womb is the heart and the tongue grows next from the heart. Thank you for letting me speak my truth. Much love❤
Nicki - Love the new Intro. Carlo - Doing great with the English. Thank You both (along with your family and friends that participate) for the entertainment but mostly for sharing your life with us.
Your channel and family have became so dear to me. I always watch but seldom get on my phone and comment. Your content makes my heart smile… every time, which is why I keep coming back to watch… every Sunday. Your channel is my favorite.
Nice editing in this video. The aerial shots and music and the new intro seem seamless! Congratulations Carlo on your English and Italian passage; It was heartfelt. bravo! And that scene of the family eating and laughing together, priceless! ❤
I suggest you give the plate to “Elizabeth” as she seems like a caring person, she seems like she has a big heart, special people deserves special love…❤
THAT WAS LOVELY! Especially Carlo doing his very best to follow teacher’s instructions. Please congratulate him from an English teacher who has been through this millions of times. My motto: practice makes perfect. All my pupils had this instilled into their DNA! I admire his persistence and your patience. I also loved the introduction, the November 1st lights in the cemetery and the aerial view in the evening were absolutely gorgeous. And his feelings towards his work of many years were touching. I have been retired for 7 years now after 40 years of a very gratifying career in teaching, and my memories match his in retrospect. So I can share his emotions. 🥰🥰🥰🥰. All in all, full of lovely feelings and emotions. I wish you all a good week!🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
how lovely of Carlos to do the voice over for the beautiful tribute on the cemetery. You did great Carlos so dont worry and we love it too if you had spoken in Italian. Thank you for sharing N&C.
A beautiful ending, loved hearing about how Carlo has cared for the community and the warmth you have with your neighbors in Positano. Good job Carlo👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I was laughing at the outtakes, doing voiceover is hard enough but I can’t imagine doing it in a different language.😂
Every Sunday I look forward to my trip to Positano through your eyes. This week was particularly special seeing the beautiful children and hearing about the cemetery. Carlos did a great job with his commentary and I found it very moving🥲 You are very lucky to live in such a place.
I always enjoy hearing from Elizabeth and the girls. They are growing up quickly. I love the plate that you made in ceramics. And the soup looked delicious. Carlo, your a special person to have stayed with your profession as long as you did.
Beautiful Fall Vlog!🍁🍂 Positano closing down the for the Season. 🫶🏻 Carlo narrating his end of season w/ his job; Bello! 42 years to measure his growth; his youth/ today. Grazie!❤for sharing🫶🏻
This weeks video brought tears to my eyes. Carlo's tender moments at the cemetery were heartfelt & Carlo your narrative in english was excellent. The outing with the Elizabeth & her children was amazing & so was trick or treating around the community of Positano. Showed how close the residents of this beautiful place in the world are. Carlo, yes it makes us appreciate life more than we do. ❤🍁🍂🎃🍁🍂🎃🍁🍂🎃
That was a lovely video. There is something calming about watching a meal being prepared for a family. And then listening to people talking and laughing together.
Carlo did a great job, I enjoyed his English and Italian narrative. I love older cemeteries and the pictures of the cemetery were beautiful. The lovely flowers that were apricot colored that you ducked under that hung like trumpets were gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your day and your friends and family with us!
Carlos your heartfelt message in your beautiful broken English has me in tears. Such a wonderful way to remember and honor your recent job at the cemetery. Much love to you and Nicki.
Reading all the lovely comments, I feel there is little I can add that has not already been said. I thoroughly enjoyed everything from Holly rolling on the beach to Elizabeth's kind heart 💕and everything in between 🥰 Can not believe its 2 years since Carlo left the cemetery, how time flies. Was really touched by this segment of the video (but chuckled at all the work & patience put in to do the voice over) Thank you for sharing a little Positano magic with us all every Sunday, a joy to watch 😍xx
Carlo can mix English and Italian in his voice over. It helps us learn the Italian. His monologue at the cemetery was thought provoking. Good show! The Fiat Car Show had me shouting.
Bravo Carlo!!! Your English is improving. While your Italian is charming, those of us who only speak and understand English applaud your effort. Well done to you.
Lovely in so many ways.. the visit with the loving people at the pumpkin place… And Carlo sharing his thoughts about the cemetery and his appreciation for life..and the people who passed … Yes as a critical care nurse for 30 years I appreciate everyday … ❤
Two years ago feels like it was yesterday that Carlo left his job at the cemetery. I remember that video. Life was on it's head during the pandemic, and yet, you still managed to create wonderful videos. And look where you are now, two years later. Look at all the great things you have both achieved in 24 months. Fantastic! It is lovely seeing you, Elizabeth and the girls playing, having fun and trick or treating. The girls are growing up every time we see them and are such adorable little girls. It is great that Elizabeth will have a break after what seemed like a good, but hectic season. I love ceramic painting, I find it therapeutic. Once the piece has been fired and glazed, and you see your creation come to life, it is such a wonderful feeling. All the colours come to life with the glaze on. I love the lemon plate. It is a good design that goes together with a Boat full of Lemons. 🍋 Take a picture of your plate, with a few lemons on it and your book new to it for Marketing before you gift it to a lucky subscriber. Oh, and Carlo, I am learning to speak German. You have no idea. I am writing exams and I have my oral exams next Saturday. I know how you feel, learning to speak English. I just say what I can in German the way I want to say it, even if I make mistakes. It is easier than trying to memorise a script. I find I struggle because our teacher has told us what script to learn for our test, which makes it difficult to memorise because they are not words I would say at this level. Say small sentences from your heart and don't worry if you don't say everything perfectly. We understand that you are Italian and that famous saying "hello everywhere" is so you and so special. 😁 Ciao guys. Look forward to seeing you next Sunday. 💖🤗🌻
Your channel is so comforting to me. I started watching 2 years ago when I lost my husband. I visited Positano in 2019 and Carlos is so true when he said time goes by so fast but yet it’s eternal. Cherish your beautiful family and life.❤
I love your new introduction! If I lived in Positano, this may be my favourite time of year, when tourism dies down. We were there in September and visited Positano a couple days. The crowds were unbelievable, and all I could think about is the fact that you must have the patience of a Saint. That being said, I truly envy the beauty that surrounds you. The Amalfi Coast is breathtaking. I’ve visited a few times and can’t seem to get enough of it. Thank you for sharing its beauty.
Carlo, Bravo! Your willingness to continue learning a language and allowing yourself to be filmed when trying. Bravo! You inspire me to keep working on my Dutch. It’s not easy in our 50s to advance foreign language skills. We’ll keep trying! There’s a lot of 💪 and progress when we keep trying! ❤
You did a lovely job at the ceramics class Nicky. Actually that whole day looked like great fun. You do a wonderful job promoting local small businesses. I hope they appreciate your kindness to them. You really are a wonderful ambassador for your beautiful Positano.
Elizabeth (and her girls) are so lovely and feel very much like a part of the family-for us all. 🥰 And I loved the outtake at the end of how you did Carlo's voiceover. Carlo pretends to be easygoing but he was not having it with that recording!! We see through you, Carolo! 😁😁😁🎙🎙🎙
Such a beautiful walk through the cemetery and the words full of emotion from Carlos, I was in tears. But then I was grateful for the humor of making Carlos express that emotion in English words. Bravo and thank you for all your videos. I love them every Sunday morning in California.
Wow! The first time I have cried watching a Positano Diaries video. Carlo, you are a very kind, intelligent, thoughtful and honourable man. I already knew this about you but your reflection here about your career in the cemetery solidified this fact. Nicki and Carlo, your videos bring me peace and joy, helped me get through the pandemic, guided me through new cooking techniques( we made gnocchi from scratch), showed me the hard work and total satisfaction of growing your own food and Nicki specifically helped me to find new, awesome makeup for my 63 year old face. Thank you for your vlogs. I love them and you. ❤️
It was so nice (and a little sad) to hear Carlo's message! I know it was a little frustrating for both (Carlo and Nicki)to write it and for Carlo to read it to us, but it was so worth it to your viewers. I am going to have to make Nicki's soup! It was nice to catch a glimpse of Skye and her boyfriend. Happy Fall to you!!!!!
We are on Ischia for the 4th time - mostly thanks to you guys! We spent time on Thursday in the cemetery in Casamicole with our friend who lost 6 family members in last years landslide. So heartbreaking and at the same time, incredible to see how the day is ‘celebrated’. We now know how hard you worked to make this a special day for everyone and how much your work was appreciated.
I left Italy just a few days ago after spending 8 wonderful days there. What a joy it is while I am this ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean to be able to enjoy these wonderful videos from you and Carlo. Thank you
I can imagine how folks in your part of the world might enjoy having the social and family side of Halloween after the busy summer season. Time to have fun and relax!
The aerial views are spectacular. How amazing it is to have homes built into such steep hills. I find that between the melody of the music and that of your voices, it lulls me into a time of peaceful contemplation. Thank you so much for transporting your viewers to the beauty that surrounds you. Please don't stop!
Love the new intro 🥰 The kids looked so sweet. Love seeing them having such a good time. And Wow!! That soup looked soooo good! Carlo was so funny at the end. I can tell it's not easy to speak English... but let him know I can understand his English 100% better than he would ever be able to understand my Italian. I think I know about 4 words 🤣
OMG! Carlo we love you so much in our house. Watching you get fed up recording the commentary was funny and at the same time, so touching, watching you determined to crack it! I’m sure Positano is so appreciative of your hard work looking after such a wonderful cemetery.
Carlo, welcome to the "Hollywood" experience. Hours and hours, take after take, many behind the scenes people work on hard (thanks Nicki) so people can enjoy the final product. Your tribute to your work and experience at the cemetery was beautiful. Both of yours hard work paid off despite the frustrations. Thank you for inviting us into your lives.
Just have to quickly comment before I take in more. Your video excels, every aspect is thoroughly delightful and brilliantly assembled, script, screen, ambiance, and to top it off your playful editing at the end fully projects your wonderful characters that permeates joy of your work. This episode stands for me as a go to for good things in our erratic times, million thanks..
Love the new intro, the behind the scenes speaking, Carlo's lovely words about the cemetery (in English and Italian!), and Leni who likes the camera and speaks slowly so people still learning Italian like me can understand. In summary, loved it!
All so lovely and poignant to experience the seasons one after another. And for all the difficulty, Carlo, your part added such heart and meaning to my experience of Positano. I appreciate your effort very much and so grateful that you pressed on! Thank you both!
I can’t believe it’s been two years either…I met you both and discovered your RU-vid channel about 9 months before that when I was home bedridden recovering from a near death disease. I’m alive too! And you helped me recover Thank you. When I first starting watching I never thought that I’d be able to visit your beautiful part of Italy because I could not walk or even think of climbing 1 step! Now I’m walking and climbing so there’s hope! Blessings to you both and your family and friends 💕
Awhhh , Carlo , you tried so hard and your English and spoken sentiments are so wonderful. The cemetery has always looked so magical in all of your video's over the years . All the hard work that it takes to put the lights there for All Saints is wondrous. Thank you xx
What a lovely video! It was tinged with all the facets of life…beginnings, endings, the moments of fellowship and community in between. Thank you so much, Nicki and Carlos. Also, so nice to see Élisabeth and the girls, Skye, and, of course, Holly and Indie. Best, wishes! Marlene 😊
Such a beautiful way to express your thoughts and feelings of the memories and many years of working at the Cemetery, Carlo. Now you can relax and enjoy your family time... you've earned it! The new intro is lovely. Thank you Nicki and Carlo for sharing parts of your lives with us. Always look forward to seeing you on Sunday ❤
Two of my favorite Halloween memories are in Venice and Sorrento, as we passed out candy to the local children those two years. Coming from Hawaii where we celebrate trick or treating in a big way, it was endearing to see the children hesitate to accept the candy from us with big smiles. Best Halloween memories.
What a magical place for children. I dont think such a place exists in America? I love the mix english and italian spoken. Such a beautiful and enjoyable video. I am a fairly new subscriber and love you two already.
