This video explains an IT and Telecoms transformation project for a charity in East Sussex. It is about an appointment that we had with a new customer regarding IT and telecoms who are based in East Sussex. They are a charity with three different parts to them - one part is a church and the other two parts are community services helping the local towns and villages with all sorts of different things within the community.
Their current IT setup is, as we like to call it, Heath Robinson in that, although they only have a few devices within the organisation such as laptops and computers, they do have data stored in different places including data stored in lots of paper documents.
This makes it very inefficient dealing with that data and their documents.
They also have a hard drive in their office which they didn't know they had and they're using Google Drive, which they find difficult to use.
We're going to migrate all of their data into Microsoft SharePoint which is part of Microsoft 365 and we're going to get some free Microsoft licences for them recognising their charitable status.
They are using Gmail at the moment. We are going to migrate these emails to Microsoft 365 and set up new email addresses using their proper website domain rather than @gmail.com. Each of their 12 users will have their own proper email address.
We're going to set up three SharePoint sites for them so that all the people within the organisation can access the right areas and have the right permissions.
Installing this solution for them will be transformative and make them a lot more efficient.
We're going to put in cyber security protection for them and they may even decide they need Cyber Essentials accreditation, which will be an option for them.
They also have three published phone numbers - one for each of the different parts of the organisation. We're going to move these to a VoIP solution, give them some new handsets on their desks, install a new router and install much faster broadband for them.
They're also going to using a new CRM system.
Once we've finished, their technology will be totally transformed enabling them to be much more efficient and agile.
The outcome here is that they will be spending less time dealing with their rather complicated and disparate technology in their organisation and more time helping the community with all the different services that they provide.
