that second bike was mine. The 06 Yamaha R1. Sold it about a month ago to some young bucks outta Austin. I gave it away for $3k and I see they’re tryna make a small profit of it. Kudos to them. I bought the bike 2 1/2 years ago outta Dallas and i got screwed. Bike had bad shifts forks so that’s why I sold it so cheap even though i had put tons of money into it. Funny thing is when i sold them the bike it had over 18k on the odometer, so they either rolled it back or they made a typo with the mileage. Also all that perfect upkeep maintenance was done by muah. Also make sure you test ride it, unlike myself, to make sure it shifts into all gears perfectly, no grinding. The engine is A1 solid.
The chromed out, stretched, and big tire busa is what killed track days, AMA and a lot of magazines. It was a riders world before that. Cheap track days, full WERA, AHRMA etc grids. BARF forum was packed. But it is cool to see standards come back. It's kinda a 70's early 80's resurgence.
I have enjoyed AHRMA but their organizers are kinda killing themselves right now.. as a younger rider among a bunch of old folk they (the organizers, not the riders) shoot a lot of shade.
@@Dangerwiggles they always have. A bunch of cool people, but can be hard to break into the group. I only ran with them at Barber though. From organizations out west to the east, WERA is my favorite and been the best group of people
Noob, you slay me with this manner of presentation. This reminds me of and old TV show I saw in California called "Elvira" where a well endowed witchy looking lady was doing regular stops through her analysis of "B" grade movies to make comments on features she sees in the movie with really funny presentations. You are spot-on with your analysis of the bike sellers gained from years of confrontations trying to low-ball them out of their bikes. This is fun to watch as we sit waiting for riding weather to improve.
I can’t imagine a more vicious takedown than having someone review your moto listing and then being told to improve your English/writing skills for basic life functionability… in complete sincerity.
You are killing me😂 I am 56 years old and never ever wanted a stretched Busa. I have a 1989 Yamaha FZR1000 that I bought in 2014. Found a period correct Vance&Hines slip on exhaust and added some mirror extensions. Next bike will be a R1M.
Go to a place and hope that your friends will meet you there... yes, the mid 2000s were a good time lol. Despite no phones, we were definitely more connected.
The Last purple R3 Dude: "Merry Christmas, babe! Welcome to the wolfpack honey! 😍 the wolfpack of two! 👊✊👊 Also the Dude 3 days later: "I'm so sorry babe, I didn't want push you, I just was so exited! 😱 but don't worry, I can get the money back"👌 to his angry girlfriend with his wrist broken 🤣
It’s so great to have this type of episode! Always really enjoyed the “It came from Graig’s list”!! I hope you continue making this type of content!! Have a blessed day!
The tune causing the check engine light could be from removing the O2 sensor, which could literally just need a 20 dollar resistor that tricks the bike into thinking there's one installed and properly working. It could also mean there's an actual issue though
I can't stand the yahoos who'll take a classic bike, lop off the fenders, drag bars, solo seat, and no blinkers or lights then ask 3k for a "bobber project". that cb750 was actually worth something before primitive Pete got a hold of it
Be EASY on the "RAT Bike"..... LQQKs to me that rats are still living inside her? Also, those hand wrapped pipes are in high demand & a chief selling point, Ummm, yeah?! It's worth a million dollars, sentimentally speaking... 11/10
Something i didn’t see in here that i see EVERYWHERE- it’s always the previous owner that dropped the bike. It’s never the current owner, it’s always “the last guy dropped it in his driveway, that’s why it has a rebuilt title but everything is fixed”. Bro…
Can't wait to list my 5 bikes.😒 Really not looking forward to that nightmare. Selling on line sucks. I also have a spare room full of gear, parts and on and on. OMG this is going to suck monkey balls. 😆
I'd pass on any bike that's listed with pictures where the bike isn't even cleaned properly. If they don't take the effort to clean it for their advert, I doubt they ever clean it to begin with. And probably also don't maintain it.
Bike are really damn cheap on Facebook marketplace and Craigslist right now in northern CA. Yeah it’s cold and often rainy but I think it’s mostly because people are hurting with this awful infection and rent hikes. I’m probably gonna grab a sub 2010 super sport with my refund this year.
I don’t see a 50-60 yr old wanting the big dog. We want comfort after working ourselves into geriatric bodied boomers…whatever that is. Love how you use the “basket case” to describe a fully assembled liter bike. With age certainly comes wisdom… rat bike=rat rod ugh. I know it’s hard to understand. Education system has failed us as you say.
I got a question for y’all riders I’m currently shoppin in the market for a 600cc or around 600 cc bike and I’ve narrowed my list down to two bikes one is the 2023 cbr650r brand new only 1 mile on it this was the bike I was originally gunna get cuz I really didn’t wanna have to spend an extra 3-4k on a zx6r or a r750 plus I wanted something that had a tft display instead of ur regular speedo and rpm meter but the other bike that got my attention is the 2022 rs 660 this one has a limited edition color scheme which I think is so clean but the only reason I’m kinda turned off by it is cuz it has dam near 13k miles on it now it’s at a dealer so it won’t be a 3rd party seller so I shouldn’t have to worry about shit fallin apart but my question is would it even make sense to fork over 10k for a bike with 13k miles on it I mean I’m still fairly new to the biking scene my first bike was a ninja 400 but I want something that if anything I’ll stick to instead of having to upgrade to a 1000cc but idk if 13k miles for a bike is a lot or not I mean obviously for a car that’s dam near brand new lol but bikes r different so what do y’all think it the rs660 worth gettin or should I just stick to my original plan and get the cbr650r? Ok rant over have a good day😊
