I met and interviewed Ray Bradbury back in the 2000's. What a hoot he was, I tell you. It was an impromptu interview, and he went right with it, being wheeled in his wheelchair down the street in Abbot Kinney in Venice, California! What a Legend!
@@everyscififilm This is a very informative video. I knew a few things about director Jack Arnold, but I learned even more about that talented man. Once, years ago, Julie Adams ("Creature from the Black Lagoon") told me that Jack Arnold was a great guy to work for. I also had the honour of meeting Ray Bradbury. Many years ago, I composed a short poem about Ray and his work. Ray read it and said, "This is Me!" I was very pleased, to say the least! The scene from "It Came from Outer Space" with the telephone line repairmen (Joe Sawyer and Russell Johnson) and John Putnam (Richard Carlson) was VERY eerie! It had that masterful Bradbury touch! I couldn't help but think that the "Night Stalker" episode, "They Were, They Are, They Will Be" borrowed from this film - an alien with a disabled ship. However, the aforementioned "Night Stalker" episode featured a malevolent alien being that killed humans (and animals) for sustenance. I loved the design of the alien in "It Came from Outer Space." The golf ball-looking spaceship was interesting. Many thanks, Every Single Sci-Fi Film Ever.
@@walterfechter8080 Very interesting! And such a fascinating life you’ve had. I will try and look up the Night Stalker episode although I have such a ridiculous number of films to get through first if I want to have a break at the end of the year!
