I actually think my old 970 gtx is beaten by IGPU now, at least the better once. And even intels 14th gen laptop Igpu is competitive with AMD now. Now I just wish I could buy a minisforum PC locally in my country, really want that option.

@@Djuntas depending on your cpu, you could cheaply upgrade to the 1080ti, if power supply isnt beefy enough, to a gtx 1660 or rtx 2060.

@@nikoheino3927 Oh I worded it somewhat wrong, I have a better system now, just more a fact that Igpu has gotten so good now. Most obvious example is handheld PC consoles, wasent a thing 3 years ago :) If people are interested: My I5 4590 (4th gen intel), 970 and 8gb ddr3 ram got like 40-50 FPS in Cyberpunk, god of war, red dead 2 etc etc. 1080p low.

For a long-term potato computer solution, I'd recommend making a silicone mold of said spud, fill it with papercrete or just air-dry paper clay, appropriately colored and hollow, and finish the two shells with paint to twin the tenuous tuber rather than relying on the rugged rind of the root vegetable. If only you knew any real arsty Nerds who could Forge such a magnificent murphy.

12:00 The transition I never knew I needed. Also, can we appreciate the amount of work that went into this video? Yes, it's a fun meme, but there's actual research and time invested into putting a PC into a potato. They did testing, and knew what materials and processes they needed to get it working. Then out comes the monitor cover full of hot glued fries, and the potato mouse. Glorious.

Yes, the end result is only 21 minutes, but they did quite a lot of testing and experimentation to figure out how to make it work, including a custom waterblock, failed potato preservation methods, and specialized conformal coating on the motherboard to keep the components safe. If you tried this yourself at home, it would take days of work to get similar results. See 8:46. There's a reason no one else has done this before, in spite of the meme potential. It's actually non-trivial.

As an EE, Ive had terrible luck when conformal coating PCBAs. MP boards end up with overspray making contacts inconsistent, and the thickness of the plastic over high-speed lanes can change the dielectric enough to change signal responses. Might get back into it if I start using tubers as case material

Ok so you CAN print tubes etc but for them to be water tight you have to make sure your STL is completely perfect, so make sure it’s solid in something like meshmixer first and you want to make sure that in curing you don’t over or under cure it, it’s very easy to crack and it won’t hold anything I’ve been working on bottles and and it’s a lot of work where I had micro cracks and it leaked
