bogren is a joke. 1st throw one knob amps because "you dont need unnecessary stuff, ITS MIX READY", now they finally throwing whole featured (almost) amp because hey, those one knob clearly were enough. dont expect anyone from yt amp scene to give honest critique
I a Polish. And this is first polish amp on the market which I am proud of.And plugin in trial version just put me on my back.A very good feel on hand is like on real amp which is a big yes from me.I will have it on my pay day.
Very cool and great sounding plugin. Demoed it myself the other day. It’s kind of like you said though. The markets so saturated with amp sims. I have a pretty big collection I’m happy with lol Would love to see Bogren Digital make a cab sim plugin similar to Mikko2 or the GetGood stuff but with their IRDX technology!
There seems to be a noticeable volume bump with IRDX on at 100%. I like the concept but it really muddies the water and hard to do a fair A/B. But yeah implementing it with an on/off switch and blend knob is perfect!
Honestly the irdx feature seems nice when you recording and tracking the guitar cause it is really nice feeling that movement when you really digging in on the strings. But, i just realized IMO, from a mixer/ mastering perpective i want that low end movement under control in a mix so i feel i would just annihilate those subtle movements.
might I ask what you're using for your drums? I've gotten a bit bored with some of my drum tones lately for some of the heavier stuff i've been working on.
Just picked it up today! Can't wait to try it. You said there are so many amp sims out there... but I have yet to see any IR screen have a setting for the fredman clip... unless I am wrong?
Not a fan of this one personally. A bit fizzy and mushy sounding on high gain. Reminds me of the original digitech and boss modelers. To each their own of course.
Tried it and I really dislike it. I just think it sounds weak and not very good. I was shooting it against several Neural plugins and they were just crushing it.
@@AnthonyBencomo I mean, I’m using Bogren and York Audio IRs that sound crushing on my neural dsp, STL and my Bogren one knob plugins…not sure why this one still sounds bad.
Can’t get this sucker to sustain properly for a lead tone. Gate on zero, gain on max and it just doesn’t come alive. It’s ok for Rythm tones even if it will not beat STL Lasse Lammerts JCM800. Can’t get a refund for it either. And the reason I’m so disappointed is that Bogren Digitals previous releases has been stellar. I will email the amp company and ask them if the amp was built with the concept of stacking 2 overdrives in front of it it to make the damn thing sustain. Neural Soldano SLO eats this one for breakfast when it comes to lead tones.
Judging with a chug meter is like saying "I don't need to use the first 3 strings because I'm a chug machine who only knows how to sound heavy". Why even use a 6 string guitar for chugging? Get a 3 string.
